Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
Approximately 12 years ago while delivering a mare to a farm in Pennsylvania, I met my first Decker Terrier, she was about 12 yrs. old and was surrounded by 3-4 other family dogs but there was something about her that was so different than the others, her face was grayed, her movements were slower but there was a depth of intelligence and heart that you saw when you looked in her eyes. The owner gave us a short history of what she knew about the dog or had been able to find out from researching what she looked like. And the rest is history, I came home and started doing my own research. Great time and expense was taken to find the best Decker Terriers in the country, from every kennel (and there are very few) in the country. I bought the best of the best and now we are breeding those dogs to create even better. Bringing is all up to current day, the decision has been made to do everything we can to hold on to our bigger dogs. As it stands our only option is to out cross to what carries Chihuahua and toy fox terrier in their lines. Common sense should tell anyone you aren’t going to keep these dogs large and capable of hunting coyote, fox, large vermin and be so much more than rat and mouse catchers if you use those genetics. These dogs have always carried the full weight of handling everything that was needed for a farm dog to handle, we believe they can continue to do just that. The ONLY way to make this happen is to give them a name and a place of their own, a future of their own. The Old Dominion Terrier.
