Our Story
I feel it is important for your pet to have a good experience in a calm relaxed environment
I use aromatherapy as well as music therapy to create a calm environment and relieve stress for you pet. Time is spent to carefully groom your dog the way you want it finished. Our grooming area is clean and bright. Pricing is based on size of dog, condition of coat, temperament of dog, and if clipping or hand sc******ng is requested. Extra charges will be added for flea/tick treatments, medicated shampoos to address yeast, fungal, bacterial, hot spot skin issues, undercoat removal, furminating, nail clipping badly behaved dogs and dealing with matted conditions. I also offer “Self Serve Dog Wash”. I supply the tearless shampoo, towels,and dryer. This service saves you from paying the full price of professional grooming. Nail clipping is not included but can be added for an extra charge of $10. Flea and medicated shampoos can also be used for an extra charge of $3. to $8. for self serve. A full professional groom includes, bath, blow dry, nails, clipping, trimming, sani clip, paw pad trimming if needed, ear cleaning, and anals as needed. I will also alert you to any medical problems I may discover.
All dogs must be accompanied by an updated copy of vaccine record.
I have groomed dogs for 40 + years. I have a Masters Degree in Art Ed. and taught Middle School art and worked with Special Ed. as well a Trainable Mentally Re****ed children in the High School where I lived. I am also a third level Reiki practitioner and a Animal Reiki Core Curriculum graduate trained by Kathleen Prasad. After graduating from grooming school I worked at a grooming salon for 5 years to hone my skills and for many years attended grooming classes at trade shows. Since 1981 I have owned my own business. In 2016 I left my business in Ct. to move here. I have also groomed dogs for the show ring such as the Lagotto Romagnolo, a rare truffle hunting breed from Italy, and Anatolian Shepherd Dogs.
