Through the years, we've taken pride in operating a very clean, healthy, cozy and loving facility for all kitties who have come through our doors. For over five years we took in and helped over 500 cats & kittens find homes. That number would have been even greater, but in 2009 our facility turned into an "adult" only Shelter & Adoption Facility focusing our efforts on adult cats which are more di

fficult to get accepted into no-kill shelters and are more difficult to find homes for. We provided a place for rescues and private individuals to bring adult cats and we also pulled many adult cats from the Municipal Shelter. We're proud to say we had a very good adoption rate! :) In August, 2011 the Shelter was forced to move because the building was being sold. Due to the remoteness of the new location, we found homes for all our adoptable kitties and the Shelter & Adoption Facility transformed into a Shelter-Sanctuary for our un-adoptable kitties. We were still located in Plainview, NY, but we are not open to the Public because we would be highly susceptible to having cats abandoned at our doorstep daily. Another 5 years later, in July 2016, our Shelter had to move again because the land where our facility was located was being excavated to make way for a huge new community development. Needless to say another move was absolutely stressful, but thankfully our new location is permanent and we never have to worry about another move again. After 10 years, we said "good-bye" to Plainview and now we're in Deer Park, NY. Please consider becoming a recurring donor for just $10 per month. It's our 19 year Anniversary and boy how time flies!! 😺😺
We're so happy that we're still playing our part in the kitty world and doing what we can to help our feline friends. 😻😻

All year long we do our best not to solicit donations, so please consider donating $19 towards our Annual Fundraiser for our 19th Anniversary! Many kitties will benefit from your generosity! ❤️🐾

This beautiful and sweet 3 yr. old boy was sitting in a cage at a municipal shelter for 6 months! Why in the world? 😿

Because he had a tendency to bite without warning! 😬

So we pulled him from there without judgment and brought him to our facility and he is thriving!

He loves his indoor and safe outdoor home with us and he has many friends AND ... he no longer bites! 😺

We worked with him and figured out what his "trigger" was and taught him that it's okay and there's no need to bite.

Because he truly enjoys having both indoor and outdoor access at our safe facility, we wouldn't think to place him in a home now.

He is living the best of both worlds and is as happy as can be ... and he will live out his life with us.

Our Story

Our 501(c)3 non-profit Shelter & Adoption Center opened in Plainview, NY on May 20, 2006. Our facility is run by all Volunteers, operates solely on donations and receives no government funding. Through the years, we've taken pride in operating a very clean, healthy, cozy and loving facility for all the kitties who have come through our doors. And through the years we’ve helped hundreds of cats & kittens find homes.

In 2009 our facility turned into an "adult" only Shelter & Adoption Facility focusing our efforts on adult cats which are more difficult to get accepted into no-kill shelters and are more difficult to find homes for. We provided a place for rescues and private individuals to bring adult cats and we also pulled many adult cats from the Municipal Shelter. We're proud to say we had a very good adoption rate! :)

In August, 2011 the Shelter was forced to move because the building was being sold. Our Shelter moved to another location in Plainview, NY and was operating as a “Shelter-Sanctuary” for kitties that are not adoptable and would otherwise be living on the streets struggling to survive. Through rescue efforts, occasionally a very friendly kitty will cross our path and we will spare no effort to find them a wonderful home.

In June 2016, just after our 10 year Anniversary, our Shelter had to move again because the land where our facility was located was being excavated to make way for a huge new community development. This was a tremendous undertaking and absolutely stressful, but thankfully we found our forever home in Deer Park, NY to continue our mission and we never have to worry about moving again. Our Shelter-Sanctuary houses adult cats in a cage-free, fun, loving environment. We also care for colony of cats outside our facility.
