Most everyone knows the poem of the Rainbow Bridge, where pets go to run free after they pass on. The poem promises we'll be reunited one day with those fur babies we've all loved so much. Well now there's another great reason to visit the NC mountains (and to live here). There's an actual Rainbow Bridge and it's in Lake Lure.

Look for us once again at the Flat Rock Farmer's Market on Thursday from 3 to 6. The market is located in the parking lot of Pinecrest ARP Church on the corner of Greenville Highway and Highland Lake Road. We'll have our dehydrated and freeze-dried treats with us and will have frozen raw pork meats available to order. New for us will be beef tendon from HNG meats (frozen and individually wrapped), a great chew for dogs who are chewers, plus it's a great natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin. The 26th annual Chalk It Up! event was held today on Main St in Hendersonville. There were some really cool ones. Even our unofficial "mayor" Jose had one done of him! If you're interested, get downtown before it rains again and they're washed away!
