📢 SOUND UP 📢 ⚠️It’s foxtail season again! ⚠️ Please be aware and VERY careful! These can be harmful and even deadly to your dog. Please share and if you see these in your neighborhood work with your neighbors and try to eliminate them. They are invasive and will take over grass areas very quickly.
Happy holidays from all of us at Project Canine! ❤️💚❤️💚

SOUND UP! This is a foxtail and it’s critical that you learn to recognize them. One of these barbs can burrow its way into your dog’s body and cause pain, infection, and even death. They can work their way all the way up to your dog’s heart. Currently, they are mostly green, but soon they will dry out, turn brown, and drop their barbs. This will make them even more dangerous as the barbs can just be individually lying on the ground or in the grass and get caught on a paw pad, in the fur between the toes, etc. and they will work their way into a dog's body from there. If you have these in your yard or neighborhood please work with whoever you need to and get rid of them. They are so dangerous to dogs.
Wishing all of you the happiest of holiday seasons from all of us at Project Canine. ❤️💚❤️💚
Does your dog love the snow? Our therapy dogs sure do! Take a moment out of the holiday rush and spend a couple of minutes with our therapy dogs in the snow. Guaranteed to make you smile! 😊
