For A Stray Inc. We raise money to rescue huskies in need from overcrowded Northern California Shelters.

Play For A Stray Family offers kids activities, sports, and programs from Skyhawks Contra Costa, SuperTots Contra Costa, Pack Football Club, Pack Sports, and Sideline Fitness and more. A portion of your registrations goes benefit some fantastic dog rescue charities! Through program registrations, donations, fundraisers, and sponsorships, we raise money to rescue dogs from kill shelters + provide free sports programming for kids in need!

Everest was one of the four dogs we rescued from as a result of our fall fundraising campaigns. All four of those huskies have now found amazing forever homes. We now turn our attention to our spring fundraisers so we can continue to get pet ready Huskies out of our overcrowded California shelters. We couldn’t be happier with where Everest ended up. She’s got an amazing dog mom, and two dog siblings, to call her own. She even stayed local so she can continue to come over and play with Duke, Penny, and Chloe. Congratulations Everest on finding the forever home you deserve.

Urgent 📢 Xena needs a short term foster by the end of the month or she will end up back in the shelter. Please help us find the perfect forever home for Xena (aka Mama Z) by fostering her for the next couple of months 🐕💗

Meet Xena (aka Mama Z). This sweet husky is loyal, friendly, well trained, and looking for the forever home she deserves. Xena is the easiest husky you will find. Huskies are an amazing breed but they require LOTS of exercise and always pose the risk of bolting. Not Xena. A leash walk around the neighborhood and a human to lie on the couch with and she is in heaven! She is well trained and good on and off leash (although we don't recommend off-leash walks until she gets comfortable with you). This sweet girls owner can no longer keep her so she has until the end of the month to find a new home or foster. Please help us make sure Xena never goes back to the shelter. The lucky family, or individual, that decides to give Xena a chance with get an amazing pet.

Xena is a sweet, well trained female husky whose owner can no longer keep her due to a piece of s**t landlord who gave them until the end of the month to get rid of her. When it comes to huskies, Xena is a easy as it gets. A walk around the neighborhood and a human to watch TV with and she is in paradise. We know there is a perfect new forever home out there for her. We just need your help to buy us more time.

Meet Xena (aka Mama Z). This sweet husky is loyal, friendly, well trained, and looking for the forever home she deserves. Xena is the easiest husky you will find. Huskies are an amazing breed but they require LOTS of exercise and always pose the risk of bolting. Not Xena. A leash walk around the neighborhood and a human to lie on the couch with and she is in heaven! She is well trained and good on and off leash (although we don't recommend off-leash walks until she gets comfortable with you). This sweet girls owner can no longer keep her so she has until the end of the month to find a new home or foster. Please help us make sure Xena never goes back to the shelter. The lucky family, or individual, that decides to give Xena a chance with get an amazing pet.
