“Frankie”
6 year old AQHA gelding
He stands at 16.1 hands. Frankie had one start on the track but he doesn’t like to run. He was intended to be my next barrel horse but that lack of running desire shows on the pattern as well. He’s been off the track for 3 years just getting broke. He’s a fan favorite in the barn and is a big dog. Frankie would excel in English and has shown interest in jumping and seems to enjoy it, I’m not a jumper. He would make a nice 3 day lower level eventer, low level dressage or even a flat horse. Really he could go any way including western disciplines but not the barrels. Don’t let his size fool you he’s one of the smoothest horses to ride and has a lot of try when doing things that he enjoys. Good in a stall or turned out with anyone.
Frankie is a cribber but it’s well managed with a collar. He’ll lope around with his head down like a Reiner or plop around. He’s been exposed to ranch trail obstacles. This big gelding would be best suited for an intermediate rider, and wants to be someone’s go to guy. He will not be sold to a barrel home. He has clean leg x-rays including hocks and front feet.
