I'm gonna be moving slow this week so please bear with me. Charles and I had a decent wreck last night winding up with him landing on me and I scored a concussion and pretty sore. He cut open his heel bulb and a few dings in his legs as well as I'm sure his cute little face hurts. Nothing we won't come back from but what I can say is wear your helmets please. It would've been way worse without that. Here's a picture of where we broke the sand, I picked the poles back up before taking it. Such a small jump with such a massive impact at the end. And a lovely picture of us together ❤️ He's a great horse, we both just messed up at the right time together.

Hello all! Some farrier updates for everyone. Please read!

*Muddy or manure covered horses will be charged an extra fee. Yes including diarrhea hind legs!! Its gross and It ruins my tools.
*If your horses are still on turn out when I arrive, you will be charged a waiting fee. I don't surprise you that I am coming that day and I am very clear on communication if I am early or ahead.
*Working on dirt, is KILLING my back. If we are running shoes on your horse, I ask, please put mats down. Wheeling the cart in dirt is aging my back very quick.
*BLANKETS ALL NEED TO BE REMOVED. No exceptions. If it's not, I'm not doing your horse. It's strictly due to safety reasons.
*I'm happy you put bell boots on, but they either need to be pulled up or removed
*Pick out your horses feet please. Be prepared. I enjoy seeing you and I enjoy your horses!
*LOST SHOES!! There will be a charge even if you have the shoe.

March 1 2024 trimming and shoeing costs will change and be updated in Booksy. If you have any questions please reach out to me. I have a very full schedule and I want to efficiently work on each and every horse which is why these rules are coming into play. Thank you all and have a wonderful day!

It's the season of mud and I went on a mission to deplete my mud. Lots of people are asking what I did. I grated my mud with my lawn rake on my tractor, laid crusher run about 2 inches thick. Placed mud mats around my feeders and water tanks and filled with more crusher run, hand raked to be even. The areas in the pictures were slick deep mud. In the areas I had really deep mud, I filled completely in with crusher run and raked with my tractor rake. I highly recommend putting the money and time into the footing like this. It has made fetching and feeding so much easier and I am not ruining my boots/shoes anymore.
