Setting up delivery, and the costs associated, can make your head spin but we try to keep it simple for our customers. There's a flat fee for delivery for orders under $5k that is determined by the destination state.

The Solid Bottom Round Pen is *excellent* for c**t turnout. The solid lower half ensures that legs, noses, and entire bodies stay inside where they belong. We've also noticed that mama seems gratified having a sturdy barrier between the outside (dogs, horses, etc) and her baby.

A Solid Bottom Round Pen is for every stage of life. This same c**t will end up getting started here in a couple years. A few years after that he may end up giving pony rides for friends or family. The Solid Bottom Round Pen is a safe space that adds value to the experience.

From Minnesota to Montana 🛣️

Problem: Customer had (7) 50'x25' outdoor runs that were originally made using galvanized panels that were not cutting it anymore.
⁣
Solution: We brainstormed a 5' tall Solid Bottom Fence Panel that is superbly functional. The 8' wide by 10' tall gate frame is big enough to allow easy access for cleaning and moving horses. These new paddocks are horse friendly, human friendly, and equipment friendly.

The first summer I took in client horses, I had a 2-year-old stud c**t in for training—one his owners hoped would be their next stud prospect.

Within the first week of his arrival, we got a fair bit of rain. The round pen I was using at the time (before I had my nice Great Oak Equine round pen set up in its permanent spot) was a little slick when things got wet. And I wasn’t about to have this young, athletic c**t slip and hurt himself.

So, I let the owners know that we’d pick back up in a few days once things dried up a bit.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲?

"𝗢𝗵, 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗺—𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗻!"

Could I have done it? 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. You can do just about anything once. 😉

Could it have gone smoothly? 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲. And trust me—for both of our sakes... 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆! But the odds probably wouldn't have been in our favor.

Was I going to take that gamble? Not a chance.

𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗜 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄, 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?

That’s not training. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁.

And 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 when it comes to these 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀’ 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀.

Are there people out there who can get that done in that situation? 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝘁. And I tip my hat to them.

But that’s not me.
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

At 𝗟𝗡𝗛, every horse goes through 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 for a reason. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

✔️ 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.
✔️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲.

Why White Oak? It's a super heavy hardwood that'll compete with green treated box store lumber any day of the week. For reference, a 1x4x8 is 15lbs.

Do most of us dream of an 80’x200’ riding arena with an attached stall barn and lounge? Sure, we do. But that is expensive to build, expensive to maintain, and just plain might not be in the cards. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re destined to just do without though.
⁣
The Meridian is a building that provides a space to ride/train/turnout, stall, store, and congregate. Every square inch of this 60’x60’ footprint is accessible and purposed. That includes the interior and the exterior. There are -count them- five exterior doors. Four of them are 12’x12’ with split sliding doors. This will allow for a cooling cross breeze and wonderful natural light when open. There is also a smaller dutch door for viewing access.⁣

The side walls are 16’. Often builders try to cut costs with shorter walls, but there are very good reasons to insist on 16’. First, you are able to comfortably add a lean-to addition off the side(s). This is just smart thinking ahead for the what ifs. Second, when you’re riding you really shouldn't be able to reach up and grab the rafters if a horse decides to give you funny business. It’s not safe, and it’s not comfortable.⁣⁣

The white oak board and batten 8’ up, all the way around is not just because it looks nice. The white oak is going to take every day wear and tear 1000x better than steel, plus it allows you to keep horses right up next to the building. They’re not going to kick through it or chew it. Yes, you read that right. They’re not going to chew it.⁣⁣

The interior features a 60’ round pen that is the epitome of functional. During the initial design period I realized that the corners are surprisingly roomy. They end up being similar in size to a 12x12 stall. The narrow ends can be adjusted to wherever you are comfortable with that space still being functional as storage. How so? The entire interior is pre-built heavy-duty panels that are then installed on site. The panels are not stationary but can be moved.

This entire design is not meant to be solitary. There is also a viewing platform accessed via the dutch door. This platform gives enough height so that friends and family can comfortably sit and watch the action in the round pen. There is over 150 square feet of usable, functional space for even the most non-horsey family members to enjoy.
