Punctuality is important (and greatly appreciated)! Please arrive within 10 minutes of your appointment time. Early arrivals can upset or excite a dog that I may be trying to finish, making it difficult to finish the groom. Lateness is subject to cancellation as it throws off other appointments for the day, and then neither of us will be happy! Fleas: if know your dog has them, please treat them b
efore the grooming appointment. There are a number of readily available flea treatments that can effectively and quickly kill them. This eliminates the possibility of any escapees hopping onto other dogs that come into the salon (including my own dogs!). Aggressive Dogs: I will not groom an aggressive dog regardless of its size. (One bite could cause days or weeks of lost income.) Large Dogs: I will accept these on an individual basis. I'll need some information so feel free to contact me and we can discuss it. Matted, severely knotted dogs: Dematting a dog is very painful for it. A lot of knots can also be painful to remove depending on the dog’s tolerance level. A matted dog will result in a shave down and a very knotted dog may result in the same. This provides a ‘start over’ opportunity to properly maintain the coat at home before the next grooming session. I am more than happy to show you how to properly brush and comb your dog at home to keep its coat free of matts and tangles. Cash or checks only: I am not currently set up to accept credit or debit cards. (PayPal is another option.) Cancellations or No-Shows: If you need to cancel your appointment, please give a 24 hour notice so I can contact anyone who may be on a waiting list. If you call, text, FaceBook message me, etc. on the weekend or in the evening, I may not respond right away. Please be patient. I WILL get back to you!
