A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, BOXER RESCUE of NWA is a no-kill rescue organization committed to training, rehabilitating and nurturing this great breed to help them become a life-long member of a forever family.
Good afternoon followers of BRNWA. We haven't posted lately due to not enough volunteers and we don't currently have any boxers. With that being said, we still need donations to pay the remaining vet balance ($1198.29) on the last few boxers that we have had. We rely solely on donations, volunteers and fosters to be able to do this. Please consider donating!

This boy has been in foster care in NWA since June and in the shelter in Little Rock for who knows how long before that - but 4-5 months is a LONG time to not have a family of his own.
As his foster family since mid July, we have seen this boy come a long long way. He has learned doggie manners, to live peacefully in a human home, he gets along well with our 7-year-old boxer Peanut, and he adores our grand dog Rosie when she comes to visit. We have never seen any issues with him with other dogs, visitors or children, and he doesn't seem bothered by the cat at the veterinary clinic.
Bruce has completed his heartworm treatment, put on the weight he desperately needed, has been excellent with our grandchildren, uses the doggie door to do his duty outside, and has learned to sit and wait patiently for his food at meal time.
Bruce gallops like a pony when he's happy. He has learned to sing with the harmonica and is super easy going. He integrated beautifully into our schedule and lifestyle which proves his adaptability.
Bruce is ready for his forever home. He is estimated to be about 3-years-old, loves to fetch, loves balls of any kind or size, is great about occupying himself with doggie chew toys, and he's just an all-around great family companion.
Bruce should be an inside dog, but he does love to go outside and bask in the sunshine.

This is from little Mattie who is still in foster care due to her ongoing health issues, Bruce's heartworm treatment and the regular vetting for all of the ones that have gone through the rescue recently. Bruce is still looking for his forever home! His foster family say that he is a big goofball! He has claimed a section in the house (pictured with dog bed) as his daytime spot unless he is shadowing his foster mom. He has done so well that they can now trust him to wander around the whole house without supervision! Way to go, Bruce! Bruce has completed his heartworm treatment and only has a couple of more weeks of restricted activity!

Everyone meet BANJO! This goofy 3 year old is being vetted now and should be ready for his new home in a week or two. He is house trained and so far knows "sit" but is too excited to confirm and other commands. He already has quite the fan club!
