August Paws Dachshunds
The name “August Paws” was derived from three of our Dachshunds that have unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge. Although, Sir Bentley Da Bink who we lost earlier in 2018 really set our love for the Dachshund breed in motion over the last several years. We now share that love and bond with the Dachshunds in our lives today. And, that love for them has become a vital role in how we raise our Dachshunds and their puppies and it’s also been part of the building blocks for our business.
We fell in love with the Dachshund Breed many years ago when we opened our hearts to our first, a Standard Red (Smooth Hair). Our Dachshund’s are part of our family, they reside in our home with us and even travel with us all over the Pacific Northwest. Our business, August Paws Dachshunds is family owned and operated and we take pride in our customer service. We’re native to the Treasure Valley area and call a small town just south of Boise, Idaho our home. We offer AKC (American Kennel Club) registered Miniature Dachshund puppies from quality bloodlines with well-known names throughout their pedigrees. The health and well-being of our Dachshunds is our highest priority. So, we only have a limited number of puppies available throughout the year to ensure that. Our Dachshund’s have all came from the great State of Idaho. (Go Broncos!) And, we’ve been very selective with the puppies we’ve purchased because one of our highest priorities is to ensure our Dachshund puppies health, temperament and appearance is exemplary.
If you’ve been looking for Dachshund puppy or previously purchased one then you know that the demand is high and there are multiple options for reputable breeders. If you decide to purchase from us, it’s personal and definitely not just about the end result. I prefer to get to know prospective families and remain in close contact with them. One of the main goals for August Paws Dachshunds is to make the transition as smooth as possible for not only the puppy but for their forever family. We also want to certain that our Dachshund puppies are going to a forever home filled with love and long years. But, we want to make the experience exciting and memorable for their forever family. So, not only do I send pictures / videos multiple times a week. We also have a puppy package with some very personal touches tailored to each puppy and their prospective family. August Paws also offers lifetime breeder support which means we will also be available to you and your family long after you bring your puppy into their forever home. You may contact us for anything you may need such questions on registration or recommendations for obedience.
August Paws is dedicated to our Dachshunds and the families that take them into their heart and home. It is our hope that friendships and connections that are made will remain and grow for the years to come. We will always be available to you and your Dachshund for any need that may arise no matter how small it may be. If there is ever a time where the care for your Dachshund has become undesirable or unreasonable due to unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to accommodate getting the Dachshund back to us. We understand that life can become overwhelming thus we want to make sure that we extend the help and the fact that you won’t be met with judgement but gratitude. We truly cherish the bond that we have with our Dachshunds and it is our hope that that same bond will be shared between you and your Dachshund. We place great importance minimal kennel time when it isn’t needed and being diligent when it comes to discipline and training. We know the first couple days with your Dachshund puppy are not only the most enjoyable but can often become stressful as he / she becomes acclimated to your family’s environment. I would love to leave you with this kind reminder that were available to you no matter the hour and want nothing more than to see this Dachshund fall in love with your family and for his / her love to be returned. We’re honored that you chose us to be a part of bringing a new Dachshund into your heart and heart.
