Saturday's pack walk was a fantastic experience! It’s an ideal opportunity for dog owners whose pups need help with socialization and public manners.

In this supportive environment, everyone is working on similar goals, so there's no need to worry if your dog acts up.

Our trainer, who specializes in behavioral issues, ensures participants leave with valuable insights on how to better manage their dogs.

Join us for our PAWS & POINTS PUB CRAWL SCAVENGER HUNT fundraiser on August 24th!

2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Woodstock and Crystal Lake, IL (all locations are in walking distance of train stations)

Registration:
Individual: $50 per person
Teams: $40 per person (teams of 4 or more)

Our Causes:
- HERZOG’S HERO CANINES: Dogs donated for service, therapy, and companionship to those in need.
- HERZOG HARDSHIP FUND: Emergency vet bills paid for those in need.
- HCBA (HERZOG CONSCIENTIOUS BREEDER’S ALLIANCE): Designed to create a higher breeding standard for all dogs.

Get ready for an exciting day of fun, friends, and fundraising with Herzog’s Heroes! The Paws & Pints Train Scavenger Hunt Pub Crawl combines the thrill of a scavenger hunt with the joy of a pub crawl, all while supporting a great cause.

What You Get:
- Player package with scavenger hunt tasks and bonus activities
- Access to participating bars and restaurants
- Chance to win fantastic prizes, including restaurant gift cards and induction into the Herzog's Heroes Hall of Fame

How It Works:
- TRANSPORTATION: While not required, we recommend taking the train or using Uber/Lyft to avoid drinking and driving. Earn an extra point for using these transportation options!
- LOCATIONS: Participating bars and restaurants are within walking distance of the Woodstock and Crystal Lake train stations.
- FLEXIBILITY: You can choose to explore one town or both. It’s not mandatory to visit every location, allowing you to focus your points where you prefer.

We had another nice run on Saturday!

This week we worked on “overtaking” which means to pass or be passed on the trail. Our goal was to keep our dogs focused, ignoring the other dogs going by.

They all did great, even Duke, who sometimes has reactivity! As we continue to work on exercises like this they’ll become like second nature.

Our next run will be August 17th and we’ll continue running on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month through November. Reach out to me for info!

I adore this family. I first met them when they got Sage as a pup when they were expecting their daughter.

Now they just brought Hawk into their family and it was so nice to see how their family has changed.

Their daughter is such a precious girl and Sage has grown so much! I can’t wait to see updates as their family grows!

Heading out for a Canicross Fun Run at 7am at Sterne's Woods in Crystal Lake tomorrow!

I'm working on my certification as a canicross instructor so this is a free fun run where you can try on gear and learn what it's all about.

All breeds of dogs can participate as long as they are at least a year old and healthy to run.

This is all level. People who are new to running can enjoy this just as much as experienced runners.
