The Cat Support Network is a hyper-focused rescue organization specifically created to focus exclusively on cats spay and neutering. The mission of the Cat Support Network is to develop and implement grassroots outreach programs that address cat overpopulation, suffering and wellness in our community. CSN believes that targeted innovative programs that provide no/low cost spaying and neutering, lo

w cost preventative care of cats and educational outreach to families and communities will result in:

* Fewer cats placed in the shelters.
* Fewer healthy adoptable cats euthanized due to overpopulation at the shelters.
* Fewer cats reproducing as strays on the streets.
* Ensuring our families maintain a sustainable number of cats in their care

The work of Cat Support Network volunteers and staff will directly and ultimately result in an enhanced quality of life for the cats and the communities within Contra Costa County. The Cat Support Network will achieve this mission by:
* Creating spay and neuter services that target community members or neighborhoods most in need of a low cost services.
* Scheduling and promoting frequent and affordable spay/neuter events.
* Providing support services that include transportation for families to assure accessibility to spay/neuter events.
* Encouraging and implementing Trap-Neuter-Release programs in neighborhoods.
* Developing and promoting public awareness programs highlighting the plight of abandoned homeless cats and promotes healthy cats.
* Improving the lives of stray and homeless cats by finding “forever” homes for rescued adoptable cats.
* Providing an cat training and education program to community members that will improve the over all care of cats in a home setting.
* Collaborating with other animal- focused organizations to provide free animal food programs, and public education events. The Cat Support Network is a recognized 501©(3) non-profit tax exempt rescue organization.

Peaches (approx DOB: 6.10.23) is one of our many long term kitties that is still patiently waiting for her forever home to find her. She has now been waiting for over a year since first being rescued from under a freeway overpass.

Peaches is the softest, squishiest girl who is looking for someone understanding, loving and open to hear her story that is just too long to post here on Facebook.

Peaches is best matched for a home with no children, with someone who will love her unconditionally and with someone that will allow her to sleep snuggled up against them at night or while lounging on the couch. Foster dad Levi fully understands our “hisses to kisses” mission within our foster program and is making it his personal mission to accomplish just that! Just a couple weeks ago this little kitten (Misty) and her siblings were living in a field of an apartment complex with the future of living the hard life of a feral street cat. Now thanks to their foster parents temporarily opening up their home and hearts, Misty and her siblings are purring in their arms as they learn how special human love & companionship can be ❤️

Misty is still very shy and is continuing to learn trust but without foster homes like this, all of this would be impossible. Thank you to those who are willing to step up to make our mission possible!

Our adorable bonded pair, Jack & Jill just joined our 7 day adoption center!
Some of you may have even donated towards Jacks fundraiser to help with his specialist appointment to remove a cyst under his eyelid 🫶 🙂

Jacks eye journey is finally complete and him & his sister are ready to start their journey with a permanent loving family!

Full bios about Jack & Jill below: ❤️

Jack and Jill, also known as “brother and sister”, now just under a year old, came to us after being left in a box outside of a vet office. Jack came to us with a very weepy eye that led to us having him seen by an ophthalmologist and it was determined that he has some scar tissue around his tear duct from untreated eye infections before coming to us and it is causing his tears to spill over. This is something he will have to live with now but lives with it un-phased! To help him keep the area clean he just needs an occasional wipe. He is an outgoing, playful, laid back kitty who loves to be around his family lounging on the back of the couch. Jack will tolerate being held when needed but does not like the feeling of being smothered. However, he loves pets/chin scratches. If he is in the mood for pets and you are near him he will lovingly head butt your hand or even take a soft nibble to get your attention. Jack loves to play with spring toys and his sister, of course. Although he is smaller than her he doesn’t let that stop him from rough housing! Jack is good around calm, mellow dogs who will respect his space. He is good with older children who will respect his boundaries, especially not being picked up. He likes to follow around his human brothers around in the morning as they get ready for school.

Jill is a very cautious, nervous and curious kitty. She does need extra time and patience to feel comfortable around her family so she may seem stand-offish in the beginning. She is very bonded to her brother and will often search for him to make sure he is near her or at least in the same room. At times you will hear her call out for him. Usually he will pop his head out of the room or meow back to let her know where he is. Sometimes he likes to joke with her and not say a peep so she starts to worry more. That’s when we laugh and help her “find” him. Might also just be a funny game he likes to play. Jill does not like to be held and prefers to have those boundaries respected unless it’s something important like going to an annual vet check up. We have discovered that once she learns that you arent going to be picking her up she will start to let her walls down and trust more and shows just how loving and playful she can be. Even though she is not as openly affectionate like Jack, she too wants to be around her family. She will lay on the couch with you or somewhere cozy near you while you watch tv. At night, she secretly likes to snuggle when you sleep. She likes pets and enjoys the head and chin scratches. Jill is also good with calm and mellow dogs. They both have been living with a large dog who is curious about them but doesn’t bug them and lets the kitties sniff her. These 2 have the best quirky personalities and are so easy to love!

Delta & Dawn
These beautiful kitties are looking for a forever home together! Both Dawn & Delta are playful kitties that love chasing each other around the house. Delta (black) checks all the boxes for an amazing kitty - playful, affectionate and friendly. He can be a bit shy at first, but very confident once he trusts you. He loves cuddles and will show you his contentment with his big purr. Dawn (tortico) is a stunning girl who is still working on her trust and confidence with people, but is improving every day. She’ll need a little extra time to adjust to her new home/family but give her plenty of time and love and she’ll return all the love you give. These two are looking for a calmer household with no young children. Either no children or older kids who know how to be calm, gentle and patient is best for them.

Mary & Winifred are still waiting for their forever home after being rescued from the brink of death in February of this year. Very unfortunately, Winnie & Mary’s foster family, one of our best foster families, is moving out of state and we need to get this sister pair into what will be the final chapter of their rescue story; a forever home!

We have until the beginning of 2025 before their foster parents move but we would REALLY love to find their forever people in time for them to spend the holidays with.

These tiny girls have been through so much in their little lives so understandably they take a long time to acclimate to new people and environments but soon enough you’ll have a kitty to keep your lap warm every time you sit on the couch, as you can see from the photos! They would do best in a home with someone experienced with very shy kitties and with someone who will give them unconditional love despite their timidness.

Please share and help us spread the word that these beautiful girls are in need of a loving home asap! 🫶🫶
