Meet Goose! 🎉 This 1-year-old, 36 lbs Patterdale Terrier mix is a bundle of joy and energy. Transferred from Louisville Metro, Goose is all about playtime, toys, and peanut butter kongs. He’s great with kids and other dogs, but his feelings about cats are still a mystery. Ready for endless fun and cuddles? Goose is your guy! 🐾

You know who loves this four day weekend more than you? Your 🐾 as you know not all featured foods are safe for your furry friends to enjoy but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat them with what is safe!

Most foods found on todays menu are safe no matter the day but why not spruce it up! Today, is recommending the delicious watermelon-mint pupsicles! 🍉🌿

Not only will they help your freshen that breath but man it’ll help them beat the heat!

I’d like to note that while there are many safe foods for your pooch, it can s important to do additional research based on dietary needs 🐾

✨ Kind-hearted ✨ if we had to sum up walker Kaitlin in one word, that would be it! 👏🏼

Kaitlin joined ODA in February and has strived to make each visit the very best for each pet of Outdoor Dog Adventures. 🐾 If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Kaitlin yet, here are a few fun facts about her! 👋🏼

Kaitlin has been caring for animals for about 10 years now. She has had a variety of animal care jobs over the years, whether it be high school pet sitting 🐱 🏠 or working in a vet clinic 💉 🐾 Other than connecting with all kinds of critters, she is also an amateur writer 📖 , art fanatic 🎨, and self-proclaimed creative person. She is also a huge horror genre fan 🎥 , probably consuming more horror movies than any other kind of media. Kaitlin believes dogs are kind of like horror movies in that you never really know what’s going to happen next but she enjoys every moment of being with them! ♥️

Not a day goes by that we aren’t grateful and forever thankful for the opportunity to do what we love everyday. “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Here at ODA, we find that quote to hold so much truth each day 🙏🏼 ♥️ ✨

As we look back and reflect on these last 3 years, we are filled with so much joy. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the love and support of our clients, all of our 4 legged fur-iends, and of course our amazing team. 🤍

✨ Have you met Summer yet? ✨

Summer joined ODA the end of January and she’s been nothing short of a big ray of sunshine since day 1 ☀️ Here are a few fun facts about this hard working dog mama! 🐶 🐾 ♥️

Summer was born in Buffalo, NY ❄️ and raised in Greenville, South Carolina 🌳 Summer and her family are true animal lovers and love every type of animal out there! She has fostered dogs for about 7 years 🐾 and loves to see them go to their furever families. She is a proud dog mama to her sweet little boy, Zeus ⭐️ 🐶

Summer is currently a student at U of L 📚 ✏️ studying Psychology and pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy. She is also a part of the University of Louisville All-Girl Cheer team! 📣 Get it girl! 🙌🏼

Summer loves meeting all of your fur babies and loves how much joy they bring to her day 🤗

✨ Team Spotlight ✨

Loving and genuine is how we would best describe our teammate Linda. Linda joined ODA back in December and has been bringing plenty of sunshine and smiles to the dogs and cats of ODA ever since. ☀️

Linda was born and raised in Louisville and is the mother of a beautiful angel daughter in heaven ♥️ Different ventures led Linda away to Nashville, Tennessee 🎸 and Lexington, Kentucky 🐎 for eight years but she eventually made her way back home. 🏠 Growing up, Linda always had large breed dogs, cats, and turtles and learned to horseback ride Tennessee Walking horses. Linda was absolutely smitten with her Yorkie and Silky Terriers as an adult as well as a few fish tanks also.

Linda has experience in the veterinarian field and uses her knowledge on a daily basis. The veterinary field was very rewarding for several years before she chose to change over to the dental 🦷 / healthcare management industry 25 years ago.

She has a strong passion and respect for all animals and thoroughly enjoys every minute she gets to spend with them, especially her kitties Scarlet Lily and Kassius Klay. Linda says that Outdoor Dog Adventures has been a wonderful opportunity for her to work with pets on the weekend and she sincerely adores all of our precious clients.

We are so lucky to have you on the team Linda. Thank you for all of the love and care you give to the dogs and cats of ODA! ♥️ 🐾 ✨

Raise your paw if you’re loving this Fall weather?! 🐾 🍁 Riggins LOVES it!

Change of season means the sun sets much earlier than we’d like. That being said, dogs can experience seasonal depression just like humans. You may notice them sleeping more and having decreased energy levels. Here are a few tips to help fight the cold weather blues:

•Keep a daily routine for your pet (if cold weather isn’t your thing, let us help take your pup for a daily walk to increase mental enrichment and stimulation) 🐕‍🦺

•Keep blinds and curtains open during the day to allow your pup to soak up the vitamin D (even from indoors! ☀️)

•Try puzzle/enrichment games and toys 🧩

Today we are excited to formally introduce you to KASSEY!

Kassey joined the ODA team in June ☀️ and brings with her many years of pet care experience and a true love for dogs and animals alike. Kassey is new to Louisville and what better way to get to know the city than to meet the best doggos of Louisville! 🐾 🌆

Kassey was born and raised in Wisconsin. Her previous jobs have included working at doggie daycares and the Wisconsin Humane Society 🐶 . She currently works at a local vet clinic and is seeking to further her education as a Vet Tech 💉 🐾 🩹 Kassey is extremely passionate about animal fitness 💪🏼 🐕 and has recently taken an interest dock jumping, agility, and scent work. Just take a look at those awards in the first photo!!! 🤩 🥇 🏆 🐾 She is a proud dog mama to Ryker, an English Springer Spaniel and Echo, a Belgian Malinois.

Fun Fact: Kassey and Ryker 🐾 are working toward their Advanced Dog Trick title and Master Dock Jumping title this year! 🌊 🐾 ✨ 🖤 Kassey is also newly engaged!!!! Congratulations to the happy couple!

We are thrilled to welcome Kassey to the team and are quite impressed with her extensive pet care experience that makes her successful in what she does everyday for the dogs of ODA! She is a natural! 💁🏻‍♀️ We feel so lucky to have such a bright, driven, hardworking dog mama with us. Cheers on your new engagement 🥂 and welcome to the team girl! 👋🏼 🐾

✨ Gentle and kind ♥️ that’s how we would describe Camden and her approach with animals. ✨

Camden joined ODA in August and has brought so much joy to the dogs of ODA. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Camden moved to Louisville end of May with her husband and two pups Jet and Tux 🐕 🐶 🐾

Since her childhood, Camden has been taking care of animals. She grew up on multiple acres of land in the south with lots of doggies running around and plenty of other animals to care for. She started her own pet care business in Gulfport, Mississippi and provided top notch care for pets while their owners were away. She is a true animal lover and can’t imagine herself doing anything else.

Camden has enjoyed getting to know all of the fun aspects of Louisville and experiencing everything the city has to offer. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, painting, and singing and spending quality time with her husband and her fur babies 🐾 ♥️ Her fav shows to watch (and cuddle with her pups of course 😉) are The Office & Gilmore Girls!!

Emma joined the ODA team back in July and has settled in as if she’s been here forever! 🤗

Emma has ample experience in pet sitting and animal care. She’s been in the field for the past 5 years! 🐾 She’s a proud cat mom to her 3 rescue kitties: Skully, Flapjack, & Marble 🐱 🐈 🐈‍⬛ She is patient and kind and seeks to provide the best care possible for each of your fur babies. She approaches animals as she does people; she respects and appreciates their individual quirks and needs ♥️ 👏🏼 🤩

Emma is studying photography 📸 and loves taking photos in her spare time. She certainly takes some pretty awesome photos of the ODA doggies too 😉 📸

Each week is amazing for us. We get to spend our days with dogs and enjoying the outdoors…but this past week was just a little extra special for us. ✨

2 years — TWO YEARS! Wow! 🤩
Kim & her team celebrated their 2 year business anniversary this week. ✌🏼 🥂 🐕 🐾

As we look back and reflect on these past 2 years, we feel extremely grateful to be able to do what we love, everyday. 🤍 We wouldn’t be where we are without our awesome team, amazing clients, and all of our 4 legged friends. 🐾 ✨

This anniversary is a celebration of the relationships we’ve built with our wonderful clients and their furry family members, with each other as a team, and the Louisville community. We thank each of you for allowing us the opportunity to care for your pups (and kitties and all other family pets, fish included!) Looking for a 50lb lap dog who is always up for an adventure?!
Meet Archie!! 🐾

Archie a 1 year old Terrier/Pit Bull mix who is currently at looking for his furever home 🏠. We had the pleasure of taking this sweet boy out for an afternoon hike this weekend and boy did he let his personality shine!! ✨💙 We had so much fun with this goofy boy. He is full of love and affection. He has plenty of s***k and is willing to take on any new adventure. We hiked 🥾 we climbed 🧗‍♀️ we ran 🏃 and this sweet boy stayed steady in the lead the entire time.

Archie is a student in the KHS Behavior Modification Program and is learning that sharing is caring when it comes to toys 🧸 and food 🍲. This boy is a quick learner, eager to please, and looking for that special someone to give him the love and care he deserves...and lots and lots of exercise!! 💪🏼 🏃🏻‍♀️
