I can’t thank yall enough for trusting me with your pups this year🫶. It takes a lot to leave your pups with a “stranger” but you gave me the opportunity and I appreciate that more than anything! I had over 80 new guests stay with me this year. Even if it is 1 time of the year that your pups stay with me, I always make sure they have the best care. We are very excited to see what the new year brings! 🐶

Here is one of our new updates to better assist our community. We will no longer accept owner surrender drop-offs or any animal in traps everything has to be done by work order. Please call us at 956-447-3406 and place the work order and one of the animal control officers will go to your address and pick up the animals.
-secondly shelter extended hours are to be till 5:30pm which is ONLY for adoptions, pre- adopted animal pick ups,& owners looking to reclaim

Like our flyer mentions mornings (8am-12pm) will be dedicated to deep cleaning, feeding all our animals and to be able to vaccinate of our animals without any interruptions.

Remember , everything we do is to better the lives of our animals. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we try to better the shelter.

Did someone say playtime?! Socializing your dog can help shape their personality and how they react to their environment as an adult. Here are some tips for socializing your dog: 🐾 Start early. Puppies can start socialization as early as 7-8 weeks old, after receiving their first set of vaccines and a deworming. 🐾 Take advantage of the critical period. Puppies are most accepting, curious, and less cautious between 3 and 14 weeks old. 🐾 Reinforce positive behaviors. Set up your environment to reinforce the social behaviors you want to see.

‼️🔔Break time! We will be taking some time off the first week of August. We will be closed from 08/06-08/11. Time to refresh and sleep in!

We recently had a very special guest board with us. Fendi the fiesty frenchie and her sibling Enzo had a great time! Fendi was my first ever paraplegic pup and although it was a lot of work, I was glad to have helped her pet parent have peace of mind while she was out with town with her family. Thank you to everyone you has trusted us to take care of their very special furry family members 🫶🐾🧡.
