I’d like everyone to meet Amari, the miracle of God. Saturday night I was scrolling through Facebook and Memphis Animal Services’ final plea page came up for Friday, unfortunately it was too late for that group. I normally don’t dare click on the pages those posts come from, but something told me to. It brought me to Monday’s final plea page. I scrolled through multiple times and something kept drawing me to this sweet angel, I got this burning fire inside of me and knew I had to save this dog. I clicked on her reason for being on the euthanasia list and it said, “Sick/injured”. I did some digging and low and behold she was hit by a car with severe injuries. I immediately emailed MAS, went through the vet references I needed to save her and got in the car to make the 5.5 hour drive to Memphis Monday morning. With 2.5 hours to spare, I saved Amira, Meadow and “whoops” otherwise known as Xander! @jiggadaddy and @ctcaninecareandrescue, being the angel’s on earth they are, have offered to help with the costs of her surgery, but we need everyone’s help with this girl!!! Amari is going to the specialist tomorrow morning and either getting an FHO or leg amputation after the orthopedist re does xrays and decides what would be best for Amira’s quality of life.
