Yesterday's post was not published for unknown reasons, so I am sharing it today.
Frankie appears unconcerned with my deadline to finish her brother's haircut so they can go home.
As I work, she likes to throw toys onto my table, eagerly awaiting my participation in her playful poodle games of fetch.
After two failed attempts, she approaches my side as if to say, 'Come on, lady. I know you see me. Throw it!😄

29 years ago today, I graduated from grooming school and transformed my passion for animals into a lifelong career.
I am grateful for the lasting friendships I've formed and the privilege of caring for countless beloved pets along the way.

Meet Phineas the Barbet.
He visits me all the way from St. Petersburg.
I've had the privilege of helping him overcome his fear of grooming over the past 9 months.
Today for the first time, Phineas demonstrated his trust in our routine by relaxing and playing with Mr. Hedgehog when we were through.
This moment encapsulates why I am passionate about creating a comfortable environment for pets in my care.
I refuse to force them through grooming just to get it done. It's all about creating a positive experience for them at their pace. I do the same routine each time and then one day they surprise me, like today. That's when I know I've succeeded.
Great job Phineas! 🦔

✂️ We specialize in the art of hand sc******ng.
Yesterday, our friend Rocky, a small and delicate Yorkshire Terrier, poses to show how cute he is afterwards.
Because he is young and still getting used to his grooming routine, he is not yet a fan of the clipper.
Instead we are able to give him a calm and quiet grooming session done completely with scissors.
All of our groomings are hand scissored for a flawless finish ✂️

Yellow is the color for today,
Gianna the Standard Poodle wanted to go all out today with her flair so she got 2 yellow feathers and matching polish.
Feather furnishings are available and included with all of our deluxe Prima grooms, on request, or they can be done separately as a service.
I love when I can decorate with add ons 💛

🪻 Happy ApriI!
As we closed out the first quarter of 2024 this weekend, I took all the donations we have collected since January and made a large donation to the animal shelter in North Florida this weekend.
It consisted of crates, towels, blankets, toys, food and gently used pet items.
📣 Thank you to all my amazing clients that have contributed their pets unneeded items to help the animals enjoy a little more comfort while waiting for their forever homes.
This is a picture of their office building porch where I left the donations.

🐾 This past Saturday, we were closed for a good cause.
Since I was sick over my Christmas vacation, I was unable to make my delivery of donations to the small rural shelter I choose to support in North Florida.
🐾 Thank you again to all my awesome clients who shared your gently used and unwanted pet items.
You all are simply the best!!
There was so much donated; such as canned food, clothes, cots, blankets and towels, crates, bowls, toys, collars and leashes. It took up the whole front porch of their office.
🐾 Don't forget, I have a donation space in the salon lobby for dropoff anytime.
If there is anything they can't use I will always turn around and donate to one of our local Pasco rescues. 😊

🥂 Happy New Year Everyone - I just want to give a few updates to start off January in case I haven't seen some of my clients in awhile.
I took my annual vacation the week between Christmas and New Years.
I then had to close again last week due to an unexpected trip out of state.✈️
I reopened on Tuesday, Jan 9 to regular business operations to a very full schedule.
📣 If you are new to my salon and are looking to become a client, I have several spots that have opened up to accept small dogs under 50 pounds, in March only.
I am a small, boutique style salon that works by appointment only. I am the owner and the pet stylist.
I stay booked out 8 weeks because I require my clients to be on a recurring schedule of 4 to 8 weeks.
Unfortunately, i do not have flexibility to take walk in grooms or late appointments.
I do my best to accommodate everyone but some changes are necessary to be able to continue providing the best service and products I can for my clients and their pets.
I also will no longer offer Saturday appointments except for 1 or 2 a month to established clients only.

🎉Happy New Year - Our first client of 2024 is Odie the Papillion.
Due to an unexpected closure this week, we will only be available Wednesday 1/3 and half a day Thursday 1/4.
We will reopen on Tuesday 1/9 to our regular business schedule.
2024 will also bring some changes that we will be implementing on February 1 and we will post more at a later time.
We look forward to seeing everyone soon.
