Kim's mission is to facilitate an experience which connects the body and soul for personal awareness and growth, She uses nature, the horses and the earth's energies to promote a healing experience. Kim is certified in Therapeutic Riding/Equine Assisted Learning, as well as, Exercise counseling and has a back ground in teaching. She also offers exercise programs and stretching and energy work for individuals who wish not to work with horses.

This horse has been my biggest teacher. She was trucked here from a 200 thousand acre ranch in Montana and left for me to take home in a round pen in Vermont. She was 2, and didn't have much use for the human race. She had a reputation of escaping through flipping over on the riders that were trying to train her. I spent 3 hours with her in Vermont at a horse sale asking for her to trust me. A couple of weeks after that, I went back to pick up my friends horse and she was in the pen too. A note saying take me home.
I was reluctant. I had just agreed to take in my 10 month old grandson. The thought of 2 babies was daunting. However being the sucker I was for wayward creatures lured me in.
I couldn't get near her for almost a year, unless I had bribes. She was always loose without breaking the fence and I began to think she possessed magic powers. Lol!!
One day she got caught in the electric fence. I thought, oh crap, what the heck am I going to do with this horse who won't let me near her. Low and behold, she stood statue still while I untangled her, and quickly bolted when I set her free. It was then I knew she had an incredible brain on her and I had to learn patience.
She went through training by me, my Daughter and a professional, she went up around and over again, and i was told to let go and put her down. She was unpredictable and not safe.
Funny. The same had been said about me by my ex.
Anyway , I have percifered, loved her beyond measure and have done the ground and leg work to make this kind of ride happen after almost 2 years off of riding her.
Don't stick with things that pull you down and make you feel small. Stick with the things you believe in, and you know some day will shine the light you may have turned on.

Well, I'm happy for the rain. My plants are singing!! However, I've had to cancel todays demo.

This is accomplished through sessions using ones connection to the nature within each one of us, and learning to become a partner to your body. The horses and the earth's energies, here at the Ranch help to promote a healing experience. Horse interaction is optional. No horse experience needed.
