A true veterinarian pioneer, he established the foundation of exceptional care and compassion. Joined by Dr. Robert Baumann in 1973, and by his son, Dr. William Fox, in 1976, they built upon this legacy together, even beyond Dr. Charles Fox’s retirement in 1986. Though he was no longer at the clinic full-time, Dr. Charles Fox remained involved with the practice for many years after. He and his son
brought Dr. Sam Speck on board in 1989 to grow the tradition of quality care that Fox Veterinary Hospital had become known for. In 1992, Dr. Joseph Urig joined the practice as well, and the hospital thrived under the care of these three veterinarians and the guidance of Dr. Charles Fox. Speck and Urig joined the Fox family in ownership of the hospital. In 2007, Dr. Charles Fox passed away, leaving a hole in our hearts. His granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Fox, took up the family mantle, however, and joined the practice in 2009. Dr. Baumann retired in 2010, but remains an active board member to this day. In 2014, Dr. William Fox retired, but like his father, he loved the Fox Veterinary family so much that he continued his involvement in the operation of the hospital post-retirement. In 2018, Dr. Lisa Fox’s passion for providing large animal care and farm visits, as well as small animal care in home environments, led her to depart from Fox Veterinary Hospital to pursue her own Holistic Veterinary Services Mobile Clinic. Then, in 2020, Dr. William Fox passed away. Despite his loss, Dr. Speck and Dr. Urig continue to uphold the values instilled in Fox Veterinary Hospital. At Fox Veterinary Hospital, your pets are not just our patients—they’re part of our family. Experience a bond of care that spans generations, and entrust your pet’s health to us.
