I won’t lie, January was a tough one.
It was one of those months where when it rains it pours, and then it just keeps pouring, ya know?
I was going to write this whole post about all the details, but honestly I just don’t feel like it. Every time I think about it it’s like grieving all over again.
We had to say goodbye to our sweet girl Summit last week. She showed no signs of pain until the very end, when it was already too late. She had a very aggressive bone marrow cancer.
She was a lover, and she wanted to love right up until the end. Even her last moments were spent licking our faces as we said goodbye.
We’ll keep her in our memories of all the days she ran free in the field out back and swam in the river every month of the year. She’ll always be our little Bean girl ❤️
Bonus photo: Bo after surgery this month to remove a mass on his leg. It came back as a grade I sarcoma with a very low change to regrow locally.
A best worst-case scenario.
Give your dogs lots of hugs and snuggles.
We’re holding ours close ❤️
