🥰 Happy National Cuddle Up Day 🥰

Thank you to Sarah's dad for taking a chance on me to create a friendship with his babygirl Sarah 💗 She has a longtime reputation of hiding while company is over and took quite awhile for Christine to befriend her some time ago. Though her confidence has slowly improved more recently, Christine and her dad weren't 100% sure she would come out or stay out for me, but both decided to take the chance just to see.

I accompanied Christine on a visit almost halfway through her dad's trip. Sarah acknowledged me and accepted treats from a distance, then later chose the safety down the hallway under her dad's bed. It was still an overall positive experience, and we decided I would come the next day. Can you guess what happened that day it was just me walking in to care for her? 😏

I walked in, softly announced my arrival with a "Hello Sarah" and before I could add who I was and why I was there to finish my introduction, Sarah walked out into the hallway from her safe place under the bed to look directly at me, mew, then confidently walked over to a sofa where she likes getting pets ☺️. I gave her cheek rubs to forehead pets, carefully not touching where she is sensitive behind her head, then strokes down her back to her tail. Our friendship grew from there, and to my great surprise a few visits in, Sarah initiated cuddling multiple times in one "extra-long" visit 💖 🥰 💖

I sure am looking forward to seeing her again in a couple months for another "staycation" 😻💝💓🥰
