A small stab in the heart is what you feel when you put up the day's riding list and you see riders sinking heavily in their shoulders when reading which horse they are assigned for the lesson. A small stab in the heart for that horse that for an hour will carry around a rider who has already decided that he does not like his horse. A small stab in the heart for the horse that did not choose the rider himself but still does his best, lesson after lesson.

Riding is a privilege and something you have chosen to do. If you chose to ride at a riding school, your instructor assumes that you actually want to learn how to ride. The instructor's highest wish is that you get good at it.

Often there is a plan and a thought as to why you are assigned to that exact horse. Before you mount up next time, ask yourself "what can this horse teach me today?" All horses have something to give, a feeling or a new tool in the box.

The art is actually in being able to get a lazy horse to move forward, to get an uncertain horse to gain confidence, a naughty horse to focus or a tense horse to be released. It takes work. If you think a horse is boring, it's more likely that you don't ride the horse as well as you think! It's not easy to be confronted with your own shortcomings, but it is in that very situation that you get the chance to truly grow as a rider.

The excuse that "it's not my kind of horse" is actually a really bad excuse. A good rider can ride any kind of horse. A good rider has trained many hours on different types of horses to become a good rider. A good rider can find and manage the gold nuggets in every horse.

If we absolutely want to ride, it is our duty to strive to do it as best as possible, even if it's only for fun. We owe it to every horse that carries us upon it's back.

Copied and shared with love for all of our horses, ponies and riders 🐎❤🐎

Just found out Yuma and I are 10th in the all age for weekend high point last weekend at the Wisconsin Ranch Horse show! (Out of almost 70 horses) We had a great show, learned a lot, tried new things and placed top 10 or top 15 out of some fairly big fields! Maybe that doesn’t seem like much to some but to me this is HUGE!! I took Ellie and Yuma and both did well in most every class we entered. A few ups and downs but we learn and press on!

I am so happy with how my little ponies did, my goal was to improve from the last show and we definitely did that. Ellie had some big wins and so did Yuma. a great bit thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way and continue to help me by teaching and showing me! you know who you are and thank you for continuing to help me learn and improve!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

SOLD

Up for consideration:

“Addalida” ir “Adda” is a grade 12-14 year old bay tobiano gelding. He is suitable for an advanced beginner+. Broke for walk/trot/lope. Has a decent stop on him. Started on some “fancy” buttons but not finished yet. Trail horse, has been used in the lesson program but he is not thriving and we feel he needs to find his own person. There is no buck, bolt, spook or rear in him.

Adda was a rescue in fall of 2022. We restarted him over the winter of 22/23 and in spring of 2023 he was ridden fairly consistently through summer. Fall of ‘23 and over winter he sat. This year he’s been used about once or twice a week and has been used in horse/pony camps and does great. He just needs more consistency and my lesson program has more beginner beginners than advanced beginners+. He does well with riders using more leg/seat than rein.

He loved attention. He has an absolute doll of a personality. He ENJOYS attention and people.l, an absolute ham. He stands tied nice in the stalls and allows people to brush him and pamper him. He might holler once or twice but he does well. He’s easy to catch. Good for farrier 98% of the time. He gets impatient with his hind but generally a correction or two and he stands nice. Fly sprays etc.

His worst habit is he likes to root some on the bit. if you corrected it goes away. Hardly happens IF you use leg/seat more than rein. He doesn’t like to be pulled on.

Has been trail ridden and used as a guide horse for a trail program. He is a baby when it comes to bugs but otherwise is great on trail. Not spooky, happy to lead. Used for Girl Scouts etc.

He is a really good boy. Just needs his own person. He would do best with a family of his own vs a large program. He wants someone to bond with.

$6000 OBO. motivated seller so open to offers. Good home is the TOP priority when it comes to selling him. PPEs are welcome at buyers expense. Located in sturgeon bay WI

I have tons of pictures and videos!
Pm me for more information/questions!

For onsite LEASE (or possible sale to the right home)

🎉Amber🎉

Amber is a 19 year old reg. AQHA palomino mare that has been used exclusively in our lesson program and show team along with our trail rides. She’s a definite go to when it comes to beginner safe horses. Amber has a sweet disposition and is generally always quiet and calm. If she knows you know what you’re doing she can sometimes add a little pizazz to her step but never bucks, bolts, rears etc. just might trot faster.

Amber is only a W/T horse due to an injury when younger. She is a solid W/T no issues. Has always been sound with us.

She has a real cute pleasure type trot, but she can be easily pushed into a cute extended trot.

Generally rides in a snaffle, but will ride at shows in a shank. Neck reins, knows leg cues. Side passes, pivots in the forehand and forequarters. Absolutely PERFECT ground manners. Will stand tied all day.

Generally an easy keeper. I have her on hay pellets with a mineral supplement and camilina oil. She does get one equioxx pill a day. Is not shod, but is in a 6 week schedule for trimming.

Has been shown in 4h, pleasure and gymkhana. Totes kids around all day everyday. We use her for day camps and girlscouts frequently.

She is a big part of the program which is why we are offering for lease. We are open to selling IF and only IF the right home and fit comes along. She will be a hard one to replace.

Lease includes 2 “lease” rides a week (no instruction)
And 1 weekly lesson.

$320/month. Which equals out to $26 a ride. That is a HUGE savings. This lease DOES NOT include show rights. Show rights are an additional $100 or sign up for our show time and save.

If you have any questions are are interested in leasing Amber, shoot me a message! We’d love to discuss it with you!
