Alta Vista Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital that also offers boarding and grooming services for dogs and cats. We are open six days a week, as well as providing Sunday boarding animal pickup with appointment.

Starting Monday, July 29, we will now have more availability to serve your pet's needs from Tuesday through Thursday, as well as appointment availability on Saturdays (starting August 3rd).
Dr. Bailey has transitioned from Southwest Veterinary Hospital to join us Monday–Thursday. 🐶
Dr. Spears has returned as our new Medical Director, she will be available Tuesday–Saturday. 🐱

See that little worm like creature dancing around in the middle of the screen? This is why every time you come to see us, we ask you about heartworm prevention. This is a blood sample with microfilaria swimming around. This microfilaria will mature and make its way to your pets heart and set up shop. The only way to treat this parasite is through a very costly series of injections. Heartworm prevention is comparatively much less expensive and you won't have to put your pet through the process of injections and confinement.
