It is not unusual for an American Pit Bull Terrier owner to be out smarted by one of their dogs. Good thing these guys just love to please their owners. The pups from our latest out-cross using Loki the OFR worked out super! Here are the happy sisters Janet and Chassis after playing, flowed by their brother Kilo. They are Loki/White Lightning puppies. When breeding the APBT it is very important to use the best traditional bloodlines to insure optimal health/athleticism.

The dogs have been loving the extra daylight hours to play. I hope everyone has been enjoying the spring weather. Here is Bruce, a Loki/Ghost pup, shadow boxing. This boy has that classic “Pit Bull” smile. He is from Ghost, so he is going to be on the large side. Chisel is letting Angus, another Ghost pup, play with his Kong Toy.

You have to be an exceptional red nose American Pit Bull Terrier in order to be added into the Humboldt Pit Bulls bloodline. The dog must be over the top athletic and come from the best old school bloodlines. The most important trait is being in tune with his human owner. Here we have Angus. Angus’s dame is Ghost (her mom is from an AI with Bass Tramp Redboy up close and personal). His sire is Loki who is an OFR with Hemphill, Clouse, etc. This out-cross helped to continue the stability of our line producing the true “working dog”. This shows when doing the American Dog Breeders Association sanctioned “wall climb”, swimming and more.

Here is Chaos. He is a moose of an APBT from Chisel and White Lightning. Chaos has a little buddy Vladimir the Chihuahua that he just loves to hang out with. Vladimir is older and lets his big friend know this.

When people ask if the American Pit Bull Terrier makes a good guard dog, I tell them they should look into getting another breed. The APBT was bred to be human friendly. That said, the APBT is known for being able to “read” people very well. If they do not like someone, there is usually a reason for it. As well, when you own one of our dogs, you do sleep very well at night. These guys just love their owners and want to protect them naturally. Here is Simba back East with her best human friend. She is followed by her sister Sky playing in the snow. Sure these guys have short coats and should be spoiled, however if its play time they are like the old Post Office slogan “we go through rain sleet and snow”.

These Bull Dogs are from Dottie and Chisel. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. You can tell from these photos that Amber (the first photo) and Athena (the second picture) are on point. Being that they are from Dottie and Chisel, they are extra loving as well.

When a person is talking on the phone, or watching TV, their dog can act like “Hey, over here. Look at me and talk to me. Do not worry about a phone, or a large screen TV”. They can be so funny! The American Pit Bull Terrier has no shortage of character, and they live for attention. Here is Dozer enjoying the fact that his owner can sit and admire his presence.

Here is a red nose Pit Bull with a black mask named Nina. Sometimes we get a puppy with dark around their muzzle, or a white stripe. This is a current photo of our unique looking bull dog followed by her as a pup. Lastly are photos of Nina’s sire Scout and her dam Sansa (White Lightning’s sister). At Humboldt Pit Bulls we love keeping it real and the “black mask” look is a throw back.

Here is Pops, a pup from Chisel and Dotty, with a big ol’ Pit Bull smile. This boy is just jazzed to play with his ball and look after his owner. The traditional American Pit Bull Terrier has a natural deep connection with humans. Unless you have had one, it is difficult to fully understand.

Nothing beats a traditional red nose American Pit Bull Terrier. The bond these guys have with their owners is unreal. You can see the love in their eyes. This boy Drift, from Ghost and TBo, is a another great example. They give back twice what you give them. This is a true American breed.

These little Ghost/Loki puppies are pretty much all spoken for. The blue blanket has the boys, the red blanket has the girls. There may be one fuzzy little guy available. At ten days of age, the eyes are just about to open for the first time. Their wonderful temperaments are already showing. We are very fortunate to add the Hemphill/Clouse blood into the line from our latest outcross Loki.

Here is Drift sitting pretty for a treat. Amber, his half sister, is pretending like she moved a couple of large boulders all by herself. Dozer, their half-brother, is sporting a new jacket. Nothing beats the real American Pit Bull Terrier. They are easy on the eyes. Their attitude is really what makes them something else.

Have a Happy 4th of July! Here are a couple of light red brothers from our line. First we have Drift sitting proud by an American flag. Then we have Gucci overlooking the foothills with the sun setting behind him. These guys both love to work/play and are all about taking care of the family.

Here is Chisel playing with his pup Saber in the river. These guys look forward to swimming in the river and trying to get the stick first. It works out that they both love to fetch, so it's not unusual for the two of them to be walking up holding onto the same stick. Hilarious!

These beautiful half-brothers are from Chisel. First we have the spoiled boy Dozer who is from Ghost. Dozer may very well be the most loved dog on Earth haha. Puppy love is under rated. All of our dogs are very well loved. Then we have Pops from Dottie. You can just see the love in his eyes.
