Greenway Farm A self sustaining all natural vegetable farm located in Kingston, Ma The mission of the Greenway Farm is an ambitious one.

We, at Greenway, seek to pull the best from both worlds: intelligent and effective systems that minimize costs while maximizing production, and the same systems are not only harmless to the environment, but help to undo some of the damage wrought by the new pollutants of the Industrial Age. By taking a holistic and comprehensive look at our environment and demands, we seek to implement thoughtful

technologies that will open the eyes of the community to the new face of sustainable food production: permaculture. A permaculture operation is one that is self-sustaining and has a positive, rather than neutral or negative, impact on the environment. Whereas even traditional farming can leave the earth depleted and fallow, permaculture soil is better because of what it has produced. Plot rotation, composting, worm and fish farming, and natural pest control protect the soil, ensuring food production for the future. Through a careful ex*****on of sustainable farming techniques, Greenway Farm seeks to educate and involve the community (while, of course, learning ourselves) with new ways of food production in order to ultimately create what will be the first self-sustained residential community in Massachusetts.
