This guy is being camera shy. I have seen tremendous growth and a better feeding response since moving these outside, they have direct sunlight for a few hours in the morning then they are pretty well shaded the rest of the day. I am still hand feeding these and this years hatchlings as well. I love pectinata and the albinos are stunning to say the least.

I am horrible about pictures and keeping up with social media. Those that have been here following me for a while know that I hatched out a banded Banana pectinata a couple years ago. They usually hatch out green but this odd little guy hatched out completely banded and as he as ages those bands have stayed the same. Hatchling pics and current pictures for comparison.

It’s hard to believe we are on year 3 of albino pectinata hatching. This season I am doing things a little bit differently and will be raising these little ones outdoors in a shaded area with only a small amout of direct sun in the mornings. So far I have gotten them to eat crickets and grub pie, from what I can tell right now is they will have to be hand fed because they ignore food walking right by them. They are so cute and tiny. The black dot is how we marked the males from the females. He may appear a bit skinny but he is only about a week old, he did eat a lot for his size tonight.

Today I came home from work to 1 clutch finishing hatching and 2 more clutches beginning to hatch.

I decided I would check the incubator before going to bed… 4 beautiful little knoblochi have hatched out. This is my first snake eggs to hatch of the season. Wish me luck on getting them started..

I was vending a show this weekend, Texas Reptile Expo, and a lady asked me why my co pant name was Lovins reptiles if I am selling quail and reptile foods. So I ask my followers should I update my DBA to reflect the variety or leave it as it is? I
