I received an inquiry earlier today about some animals, unfortunately do the temperature difference between where I am at and the northern US I do have to refuse shipping until the spring of 2026. I would love to sell and ship animals but right now we are still in the 80s overnight, I can not safely ship from south Texas to northern states at this time. Please reach out to me next spring and I will be happy to ship to you.

For years when I needed mealworms I ordered from a large company in California, but for crickets and super worms I have been using Grubco.com. This weekend I decide to compare price, Grubco’s largest quantity is 5,000 for $26 vs the other company that sells 10K for $40, the only shipping option with the other company was USPS for right around $50 for a total around $90. Grubco has flat rate next day air shipping for $20. So I bought 2-5K bags and they are the most active mealworms I have ever received and one bag is definitely way more than 5,000. I can not recommend Grubco enough, definitely 5 stars.

This guy is being camera shy. I have seen tremendous growth and a better feeding response since moving these outside, they have direct sunlight for a few hours in the morning then they are pretty well shaded the rest of the day. I am still hand feeding these and this years hatchlings as well. I love pectinata and the albinos are stunning to say the least.

I am horrible about pictures and keeping up with social media. Those that have been here following me for a while know that I hatched out a banded Banana pectinata a couple years ago. They usually hatch out green but this odd little guy hatched out completely banded and as he as ages those bands have stayed the same. Hatchling pics and current pictures for comparison.

Today I added both Blue x Banana cross and 66% poss hets to my morph market page. Albinos will be going up soon as well....

It’s hard to believe we are on year 3 of albino pectinata hatching. This season I am doing things a little bit differently and will be raising these little ones outdoors in a shaded area with only a small amout of direct sun in the mornings. So far I have gotten them to eat crickets and grub pie, from what I can tell right now is they will have to be hand fed because they ignore food walking right by them. They are so cute and tiny. The black dot is how we marked the males from the females. He may appear a bit skinny but he is only about a week old, he did eat a lot for his size tonight.
