I have been kind of quiet lately, I have not been focused much in producing animals and instead have focused on habitats and observation which have led me in some different directions within my own collection. I have lots of exciting projects lined up for next year. Below is a list of some of those projects.

Black Pine Snakes
San Diego Gopher snakes -Bechtel and Klumpers albino
Mexican Black kingsnakes
Mexican Bairds ratsnakes
California king snakes
Knoblochi mountain kingsnakes
Bull snakes- various morphs and locales
Nephrurus levis levis-smooth knobtail gecko
Nephrurus cinctus -rough knobtail gecko
Blue beauty Anoles
Cuban knight anoles
Cuban X Blue beauty hybrids
Calotes calotes
Calotes versicolor
Mexican Spinytailed iguanas
Albino Mexican Spinytailed iguanas

There are some others that are in the early stages that I hope to be ready for next year breeding season but we will see how it goes.

Another beautiful Ctenosaura pectinata growing up nicely, this is a sibling to the patterned baby, it developed bars earlier than I expected and the yellow color is already coming in. In my opinion, this one has an amazing pattern forming and will be impressive at it gets older.

I opened up a shipment of animals yesterday and these bearded dragons were in it and they shouldnt have been...lol. They will be going back to the sender on Monday but for now they are getting some natural sunlight and ,well, rained on. I could have kept them and they never would have known but it is important to me to set the example and do the right thing. Plus I don't want to feed 6 bearded dragons..lol

I am so intrigued by this pectinata, the first 5 pictures are of the hatchling that hatched out fully banded, it has oranges and gold/ yellows coming in between the bands the bands are breaking up a little into specks but still holding the overall pattern the last 3 pictures are of its sibling that hatched out completely normal (green) is now entering the "ugly" phase where the black bands come in and it will go through several color changes before the oranges and yellows show up which is what is to be expected, I can not wait for this boy to be ready to breed next year. He will be line bred and outcrossed to see what, if anything, may carry over and if it proves out to be a "morph" it's offspring will go into other projects in the works.

A couple of months ago, I was expecting a very gravid Calotes calotes to lay eggs, but instead, I came home and found her with an injured front leg and on the bottom of her cage. I moved her to a smaller cage and checked on her the next day. Unfortunately, when I came home from work, I found her dead and still full of eggs. I decided to remove the eggs by carefully opening her abdomen. The eggs looked good, so I put them in the incubator. Today, the first egg hatched, 10 more to go, hopefully. Losing her was a huge loss, but being able to save the eggs and have them hatch ensure her genetics are not lost.

For the past several months I have been using Grubco.com for my cricket orders. I have been extremely pleased, flat rate shipping and they add cool packs for summer shipping at no extra charge. Even in Texas with us hitting 100 degrees I have very few dead crickets upon arrival.

It's been a while since I posted any pics of the striped pectinata baby.He did have an injury on his back where either a spider bit him or a cricket bit him, it had me pretty stressed out for several weeks but i kept it clean and used antibiotic cream to keep any infecrion down. It has healed up, and the banding came in again when it healed. I can not wait to see what looks like when he is full grown.
