We are still hiring for a 30 hour/weekly, Kennel Tech position. At minimum wage.
The primary responsibility of the Kennel Tech is to provide for the sanitation, enrichment, and care of the animals.
They have a significant role in caring for all shelter animals including feeding, cleaning, and exercise.
The position also requires direct interaction with other staff members, volunteers, customers, and the general public.
If interested, please come into the shelter and fill out an application. Join our amazing team.

We have puppies! Look at those faces. We are coming upon cool temps. That means long hikes in the high country and who hikes without a dog? Not me.

We have 5-three month old mixed breeds and 1-two month old Shepherd mix looking for their forever. All are fully vetted Spay/Neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped.

We are offering a puppy, adoption special for $100.00. Come on in to meet this band of fun, furry joy.

We are asking for your help. Today alone we had 13 dogs brought in. We are so full, in fact, so full we only have 3 kennels left. Wowza! 😪

We are asking the public to get on our Facebook Found Pets at the Humane Society of Fremont County page and see if your dog is at the shelter. We will be waiving all reclaim fees currently until we free up the space. Please come and reclaim your dog. If you find your dog is here we ask that you bring proof of ownership: pictures, vax records, and an id.

These dogs want to go home.🐶🐾

We want to express our gratitude to all those who generously contributed to our yearly garage sale and to everyone who visited the shelter over the last 48 hours.

The second day of the sale (today), when all items were half-priced, brought in $2,226.59 in revenue. In combination with the earnings from the first day, we raised an impressive $8,738.81 for the benefit of the animals.

To put this years sale in context, last year's two-day garage sale raised $6,500, making this year a tremendous success! Thanks to EVERYONE. This includes our remarkable volunteers and staff. :D

YARD SALE UPDATE DAY ONE!

We want to thank everyone who donated to our annual yard sale. Because of them and the many yard sale visitors today, we raised a grand total of $6512.22 for the animals on day one. Good stuff, for sure. Day two of our yard sale starts at 7 a.m. (Saturday, 8/3) and ends at 11 a.m. Oh, and as always, ALL items will be half-priced.

Thanks also to the many volunteers who took their Friday to volunteer at today's yard sale. You were awesome and made this one of the easiest yard sale days in over 10 years. :D

Yard Sale donations have been a huge success....I know we posted yesterday that we are still accepting them, but we got a lot of donations today. We do not have any more room for yard sale items and are NO longer accepting donations. Please take your items to The Gift of Thrift Charity Store, New Horizons or Goodwill.

Everyone has been so great and we look forward to seeing you all on Friday and Saturday.

During the week of the actual yard sale (it's this Friday and Saturday), we always receive a high volume of donations. Just now, we received four cars in a row filled with yard sale donations. Due to this reason, we kindly request that you drop off yard sale donations by WEDNESDAY of this week if you are still considering donating to our yard sale.

While we accept yard sale donations throughout the year, we are too busy after Wednesday to receive more donations. We apologize for the inconvenience.
