“Reminiscing about my relationship with MagnaWave, all due to this wonderful little Semi I purchased in September 2016. Prior to owning this machine, I had a good Equine bodywork business going but knew I needed to add more, and always knew it would be MagnaWave. When the Semi became available, I jumped on it. Of course first I bombarded Alane Paulley with all kinds of questions which she happily answered. Before buying I had never touched or used MagnaWave. Began using my Semi on client horses and never looked backed. June of 2017 I attended my first MagnaCon and learned so much. Purchased my second machine, a Maia, at the event and also learned my Semi could be upgraded to a Semi 3. Great machines, excellent support and education and a whole new feel to my business thanks to MagnaWave.”

I still have my original Semi, have added a Semi 10 and upgraded my Maia to the amazing Maia Pro. I’ve always incorporated red light therapy into my sessions and MagnaWave had recently added a new red light device, the ROC, that I love.

I’ve been using red light therapy as part of my equine bodywork sessions for over 25 years. Red light complements many other modalities. I have an extensive collection of red light devices and I’m always looking for more. Each piece has an appropriate and best use - and every horse had their preference!

Currently I’m using RevitaVet, AAH Light, and LZR UltraBright. Working around horses I prefer to use cordless options and smaller lights that are handy to use in tight spots. My RevitaVet pieces include hands-free, wearable options that the horses love and they are resilient. My AAH PBM light is ideal for smaller, harder to access areas.

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation therapy, has been found to have several benefits for horses. Some of the key benefits include:

1. Improved wound healing: Red light therapy stimulates the production of collagen and increases blood flow to the affected area, which can help accelerate the healing process of wounds, cuts, and bruises.

2. Reduced inflammation and pain relief: Red light therapy has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, and muscle soreness.

3. Increased circulation: The red light stimulates the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels and improve blood circulation. This increased circulation can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the horse's tissues, promoting overall health and wellbeing.

4. Enhanced muscle recovery: Red light therapy can help reduce muscle fatigue and improve muscle recovery after intense exercise or physical activity. It can also aid in the prevention of muscle injuries and improve muscle strength and flexibility.

5. Relief from skin conditions: Red light therapy has been found to be effective in treating skin conditions such as rain rot, dermatitis, and scratches. It can help reduce inflammation, promote cell regeneration, and improve the skin's overall health.

6. Stress reduction: Red light therapy has a calming effect on horses and can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can be particularly beneficial for horses that are nervous or easily agitated.

So I got myself a . After seeing this great IG Live from Fringe Heals I had to have it. I’ve used a red light poll cap on your horses for 25+ years, and I know what it does for the horses. Helps even more with humans. There’s a history of Alzheimer’s, dementia and depression in my family so I’m interested in all the help available.
