Dodger is a runner in a household of three dogs so running for him most likely means running for all.
Today we worked on a “sit” and “stay”. Dodger is a pleaser but he caught on amazingly fast!
Good job! 🎉🎉
How easy is it to work with 4 dogs at the same time? It’s not. 😂 We have worked individually, we have worked in pairs, we have worked as a whole unit.
5 total dogs but one of them is fine already. The other 4 were barkers and non compliant. After several lessons we have gotten the barking under control and worked on “place” to calm the reaction with guests and even their owners entering the home.
They aren’t perfect but these four have come a long way. Oh and one of them (white/grey) is blind. We’re not quite done but these fur parents have been working HARD. 🎉
Tonight we worked on a public walking/exposure which Bandit absolutely knocked it out of the park on the walking part but we also worked a bit on recall with distraction.
You can see and hear part of the distraction but there was distraction all the way around us. Bandit was able to break through all that to listen to mom. This was his first public outing to a park so considering that and the amount of distractions Bandit did absolutely amazing!
Good job, Bandit!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Me and Colt’s fur momma have seen a BIG difference in his energy since just the first lesson.
Today was lesson two and his crazy eyes were gone which is a good sign that we’re working through a lot of pent up energy.
Colt has an issue with people other than mom and immediate family coming into the house so we’re working on controlling that anxious/protective first reaction. Colt wasn’t good at following the rules so for him the little changes we make are HUGE to him.
We have a ways to go yet but we’re off to a good start!
Good job, Colt!! 🎉🎉🎉
Dogs have to overcome fears and gain confidence just like us humans!
“Stay” is tough for most dogs and this still holds true for Ziggy and Bella.
However, hard work pays off! 🥳🥳🥳
Bandit can be a wild man so we have been working on a “sit” and “stay” with a guest entering the house.
I would say we made a lot of progress during our season today. 🥰🥰
Charlie is a 4 month old, big baby! He was major lacking manners when we started and here we are today able to conquer “place” and “stay”.
We have worked on his jumping issue but “place” will help him contain his over excitement with guests. 🥰
Sable is adjusting nicely in her new home!!
One of their main issues/concerns is her bolting.
So, today we introduced a “sit” and “stay” at the door.
Of course we do this safely until she can be trusted so the garage door will be closed and she will be leashed until then. ❤️
Scottie’s human has a laaaarge property that has a wedding venue on it. Meaning for Scottie…..lots of space to run wild and run off!
We are working on a soft heel, recall, boundaries and stay.
Despite only being 9 months old Scottie has matured quickly in his training! 😍
Last week Buck didn’t know “stay” and didn’t know “place”. In just a WEEK Buck has mastered “stay” and just about mastered “place” as well!!!
It takes discipline to do what Buck accomplished in the video.
Good job, Buck!!! 🎉🎉
Mickey is also more than ready to be adopted at PAWS (https://www.pawsinmidga.com/)!!
Mickey needs an owner who will be firm, consistent and loving of course! 😍
