Clean, fresh water is crucial for our pets’ health, especially now.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we're working hard to support our pet community and ensure every pet and family has the resources they need. 💙

Contaminated water can lead to illness, so let's take extra care to provide safe drinking water to our furry friends. Together, we can keep our pets safe and healthy as we rebuild.

PLEASE do not leave your pets behind…

It is completely understandable and necessary for many of us to evacuate the area until our community has recovered utilities and resources have become more readily available. You may wait even longer depending on your circumstance.

PLEASE take your pets with you if and when you leave.

If you need support with your pets, please let us know.

Sending you and your pets all the love💜

Dear Auntie M Pack and Community,

We are heartbroken by the devastation that Hurricane Helene has caused. Many have lots their homes, their lives, and more. It's hard to wrap our head around what has happened to our area. What we know for sure is that our community is strong and has a deep passion for these mountains we call home.

We are incredibly grateful that all of our team members have been accounted for and are safe. We are also incredibly grateful for our neighbors and the emergency services who have been taking care of our team and beloved clients and pets over the past several days.

Our team will be out of work for a good amount of time while our community recovers and our infrastructure is rebuilt. We will of course resume services when it is safe and when we have the resources to do so. Right now it’s important we stay off the roads as much as possible so the people that are still trapped and need rescuing have the best chance possible.

Several of our team members have been forced to evacuate due to lack of essential resources and damage to their homes and neighborhoods. One of our team members lost her home and car when a tree fell on it. We want to support them financially as much as possible while we all recover from this disaster.

We appreciate any support you’re willing and able to provide.

Dear Auntie M Pack,

Thank you to everyone who has checked in and let us know that you’re safe. We are beyond relieved and so grateful every time one of you gives us an update on your safety.

We will be cancelling all services, for clients whose pets are not currently in our care, through 10/14/24 due to the following:

- Lack of resources; gas and water in particular
- Sitters stuck in their neighborhoods
- Hazardous road conditions
- Making sure we keep road travel to a minimum to ensure emergency vehicles can safely travel

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The safety and well-being of our sitters and your pets is our priority with this decision. If you are planning on leaving town, please take your animals with you, find alternative care for them such as a reliable neighbor, or stay home. We will not be processing any new service requests until further notice to focus on helping our community as much as we are able to.

For clients whose pets are currently in our care, we will continue doing everything we can to ensure your pets have the care they need.

If you were charged for services that have since been cancelled due to the hurricane, we will get those refunds/credits processed as soon as we are able to. Thank you for your patience on this matter.

We will be closing the office at 1pm today, 10/01/24, so we can focus on finding resources and safety for our community. But, we will keep an eye on the phones for communication from our sitters and clients who are currently away and have pets in our care.

Stay safe,
The Auntie M Pet Care Team

We are here at the DOWNTOWN STORE ONLY until 7, still have wifi that yall can use, lots of pet food and litter and more on the way. The address is 109 Patton Avenue, we can take credit cards or cash. This store will be open every day, the other stores will open once we have power/internet restored. (We’ve been pulling their stock to this location)

We are working with our pet food companies on pallets of pet food for donations to help those in need. We can get that info out once we know when it’ll arrive. In the meantime take care of yourselves and eachother! ❤️

Hello Auntie M Pack,

We hope you, your family, and your pets are all staying safe. We are hearing from more of our team members that they are safe, however many of them do not have the resources and access to commute to your home at this time. Water and gas access are currently minimal.

If you were or are planning to leave town, we recommend that you take your pets with you if you are leaving town, or stay home in place with them until further notice. If you do leave your pets, please plan on finding a neighbor you can rely on to care for them while you're away. For this week 9/30/24-10/7/24 we will be cancelling all services for clients not traveling.

We will be in touch with updates from our team and our ability to care for your pets as things progress in the coming days.

We will not be processing new service requests this week. If you place a service request, please be patient as we will process it as soon as we are able.

Please take your pets with you if you choose to evacuate.

Please stay safe, and we'll be in touch.

Looking for ways to socialize your dog and meet fellow awesome dog moms?!

Join WNC Dog Moms for a scenic HIKE in the woods with your dog!

Dog & Human friendly dogs only.

📆 Date: Saturday, September 7th

🕰️ Time: 9:00am-10:30am

📍 Location: East side of Asheville (location provided upon rsvp)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 2.5mile loop hike with around 400ft of elevation gain, which is mostly at the very beginning of the hike.

We climb up 375 feet, then the rest of the trail is very cruisy. The trail is Moderately uneven with a loose rocks and roots. Due to the climb at the beginning and the rugged trail we'll rate it as a moderately difficult trail.

Please bring water.

There are also no bathrooms at this location.

This is a great opportunity for you and your pup to socialize in a supportive environment. We've been super fortunate to cultivate a group that gives space and supports whatever you're working on with your dog. You also don't have to be actively "working" on something with your dog to attend. It's a great reason to get out for some fresh air with your pup and fellow dog moms.

Keep in mind, there may be dog moms and dogs attending that are working toward neutrality in social settings. To help support them on this journey, please keep your dog on leash and under your control, and avoid direct on leash greetings with the other dogs in the group. Your well socialized dog will be a wonderful example for other dogs to see how to calmly and confidently be around other dogs, people, and new surroundings.

Are you nervous to go solo? Invite a fellow dog mom as your plus 1.

Those shark teeth hurt! 🦈

But what do we do about it?!

If your puppy is being persistent about biting you, then it may be time to offer some basic needs to them.

🐶 Take them out to potty

🐶 Offer water

🐶 Meal time may be approaching

🐶 A nap in their crate might be in order

If all of their basic needs have been met, it’s time to begin introducing calming activities to them.

Not sure where to start and still feeling overwhelmed by your puppy biting you?
