Arrest made for animal cruelty charges -

We are very glad to report that the momma dog, Flurry, and her puppies are all safe.

Flurry is looking for a new home while the puppies are in foster care to grow ❤️

This is another instance where we usually can't share what is happening behind the scenes as it's going on, but we continue to work hard to help as many animals in need as we possibly can.

Latest animals on stray hold!

These animals come from a variety of situations - Humane Officer cases, abandonment, owner passing away, sick, injured, etc.

They will be held for 5 days per WV State Law. After the hold is complete, they will be available for adoption!

We are open Tue - Fri 12-6 & Sat - Sun 12-5.

If you believe your dog is here please come up during business hours! We are here to be compassionate to pets and people, we want to reunite you with your pet!

99 dogs in the kennels today, 99 dogs needing homes 🥺

Take one to foster, help find them a home - 98 dogs in the kennels next day!

We actually have 108 dogs in the kennels but there are 99 adult dogs available for adoption —this calls for a SLUMBER PAWTY! 😍🐾 Give a dog a break for a night or the weekend!

Don’t worry - this foster commitment is for a fun time, not a long time 🩷 Even just 1 night out of the shelter makes a positive impact on their mental health 🥰

Our goal is to move 50 dogs into foster homes. We know our community can make this happen!

Bonus foster points if you can get cute pics 📸 of the dogs, share insight on their personality in a home 🏡 environment and maybe even find a home from your friend’s list!

We can provide supplies to help make this the best slumber pawty ever!

Update: foster found!

Bottle Foster Needed!

These little cuties need a foster for about 5 weeks. We can provide all the supplies and training on how to bottle feed ☺️

They will need bottle fed about every 4 hours with the bottle currently.

Baby it’s cold outside ❄️

Marshmallow was spending time with her favorite volunteer Ericka- but this time it was a little too chilly to play with toys in the grass 🥺

It's so interesting to see which dogs become friends during their time at our shelter 🥹

Pinky says, "please - stop with the pictures already" 😅

We'll be "so foreal" with you - Pinky has been a tough case for us. She came in incredibly unsocialized. She wouldn't walk on a leash, wouldn't let us touch her. She was terrified to her bones 💔

That was in May.

Naturally, our team has been doing everything we can to help earn her trust, but it's been slooooow going. 🐢

She does finally let us pet her...some. She still gets outside time daily! We wheel her out in a crate for that. Which she does super well with now that she knows the routine 👏🏻

So, an ideal home for Pinky? One that doesn't want a cuddle bug. At least not initially! We're really hopeful she will warm up more in a home, but there is a chance that she just wants to be antisocial (same girl 😂)

Pinky needs a chance 🥺 She is eligible for a foster home as well as adoption. She's just 30lbs, we've spayed her and she is now fully vaccinated! She is great with other dogs and really relies on them to show her that humans can be kind ❤️
