Happy Valentine's to whoever gets to adopt any 1 of these 3! 🥰❤️

☝🏻First off: Do not be rude to their previous owner in the comments. Her house burnt down, she just can't commit to their care anymore. She Is happy to know they'll find homes to love them!

✌🏼Secondly: These are mini poodles (toy poodles? The smaller ones! We dont see too many little poodles y'all, sorry) - all 3 are male. They are SWEET, cat-friendly, dog-friendly, and kid-friendly! From left to right: Bear, Chocolate, and Pepper ❤️

🥉Thirdly: Adoptions are first come, first served. There are just 3 of these cuties, please be kind if you are not one of the ones who gets to adopt them. We have so many other dogs too who would love to meet you 🥺

We want to help these babies not have a night in the shelter 🥺 Open until 6!

We’ve got a MAJOR crush on you 😉

Yeah, this puppy’s name is Major- I saw an opportunity & I took it okay 😂

Major and his siblings will be at City National Bank in Kanawha City today to find their valentines! ❤️

Don’t worry about bringing them flowers or chocolates, they’ll be happy to just go home with you! 🥹

Come see us between 12-3- if they don’t get adopted they’ll be back at the shelter until 6 when we close! There’s still time to adopt a Valentine 🐾

Latest animals on stray hold!

These animals come from a variety of situations - Humane Officer cases, abandonment, owner passing away, sick, injured, etc.

They will be held for 5 days per WV State Law. After the hold is complete, they will be available for adoption!

We are open Tue - Fri 12-6 & Sat - Sun 12-5.

If you believe your dog is here please come up during business hours! We are here to be compassionate to pets and people, we want to reunite you with your pet!

For questions call Admissions at (304)342-1576 ext. 118. If they don't answer they are busy with an intake please leave a message and they will get back to you 🐾Found as Strays!

Help us name pets! 🤩

What's in a name? We believe that animals are more than just a number. And most come to us with no ID, so we assign them a name!

We are looking for name suggestions - or themes to do whole litters with! Next week we have 2 litters (one litter of 9 puppies and one with 12 puppies) coming in. And plenty more we don't know about that we will need help naming too 😅

✨Guidelines✨

✅🥰 Good names can be:
- silly or funny
- fandoms welcome!
- positive
- can be easily pronounced (sorry to some animes but it makes life harder when no one can say the name correctly!)
- can include a "two name" name (like Crunchwrap Supreme)
- speaking of, we love food names!
- THEMES! So we can name litters similar names like Flowers, planets, characters from a show!

❌😡 Bad Names (aka do not mention them):
- racist
- prejudice
- hateful
- negative

Give us any and all name suggestions, we'll be over here taking notes ✍🏻 🥰

Elliot Stabler here is on the case! 🧐 He's the head of our Paw & Order - missing supplies division!

What supplies do we need the most right now?
- Dish Soap
- Bleach
- Laundry detergent
- Milk bones (and any other kind of dog treat)

We have all of that on our amazon wishlist in the comments. We tried to find the most affordable options, so if it seems weird that's why 🐾

Rayne, Rayne, is ready for her day 🥺

This beautiful girl came to us with very young puppies. She loved her babies and was such a proud mama 🥺 unfortunately, she and her babies also came in testing positive for parvo.

None of her babies survived the virus 💔

Poor Rayne had to watch us desperately try to save them, to no avail. She had her heart broken while she was also trying to survive.

Rayne did survive parvo, but her poor heart needs love to heal too.

Rayne is incredibly dog friendly and loves to socialize. She's super sweet and great with older kids! We don't have any history on her with cats but we can help with safe intros to a resident kitty 🩷

Her adoption is fully covered, she's spayed and ready to go find someone to fill her heart with joy and love 🥺

We're open 12-6 today, come find love 🩷

DOG HIT BY CAR: 2944 Pennsylvania Ave, Elk Hills

Female, black with some tan coloring on legs. Red collar. Maybe 50-60lbs.

She didn't make it. We'd like to reach the owners to offer closure and condolences. She was warm, surrounded by a medical team who would have done anything to save her if they could 💔

To the kind lady who rushed her to us to try and save her, we are sorry for you too. No one ever wants to have this happen from that perspective either. Your effort is appreciated 🥺

Remember to be kind - the woman who rushed her to us was the one who unfortunately hit the dog. She was devastated that it happened.

RIP beautiful girl. You were loved, even by our team in the minutes we had with you 💔

Willow and Dixie are loving the "Petco Penthouse" - but they'd love a home even more 💕

These girlies are already fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, flea/tick treated, and ready to go!

They don't have to go together, but they do need to go to a home that is down for a lot of cuddles 🥰❤️❤️
