It's not really "good-bye". It's more like "see you later". ❤️🥰🤗
You can't help but smile at this little guy
We just had to share - there is no way that *anyone* could *not* smile after watching this little guy. He loves to show you how to play with a balloon and he will do this all day long if you let him.
Hi Folks this is Paws. I have another favor to ask ya'll. Remember my old pals the M's? Minnie and Milk Dud? Yeah the two old girls who needed a safe place to land when their mom and dad became very very sick. Well their brother Tiger needs help too. You can see him in the slideshow. He is young - only 5 years old - and is completely vaccinated, FeLV/FIV neg and is neutered (we think anyhow - he showed up as an adult stray to his owner's house and appeared to be already neutered). He is completely adoptable and can go right into his new home. The reason he is available for adoption is like it was for Minnie and Milk Dud, his mom and dad are too sick to care for him. He is young and healthy though (Minnie and Milk Dud needed immediate placement because of their health) so, for now, he has been living in his old house and his sister has been traveling every day to go take care of him. Frankly though he is lonely and really needs to live with humans full time. He can't live with other cats though (including even me lol) and we don't know about dogs. He really is an only pet child adoptee. Minnie and Milk Dud did ok with him but it would be too crazy for him to try to live with other cats. He is pretty set in his ways. Human children should be old enough to know how to treat pets or be supervised when around him - he isn't aggressive toward people at all but he is a very large boy. If you can adopt Tiger, please call Erica at 716-492-2541. Thanks so much guys and please spread the word. Remember though - Tiger lives in Cattaraugus County in Western New York State in the United States so you will have quite a drive if you live in California lol. Sincerely, Paws.
Yearly fecal checks are an important screen for intestinal parasites for your pet. They are so important that we send home a fecal collection device for every pet so that owners can easily collect a fecal sample at home. Jim has a name for this fecal collection device - "stool stabber". In fact he thinks that yearly fecal checks are so important that he made up a song for you.
What happens when Monday "rolls" around and you have had a doggone fun weekend. 😂😂😂😂😂
Are you looking for your next cat or kitten? Dr. Songster and Jim fostered Ella, a 10 month old kitty with 5 kittens! All of the kittens, including Ella, need loving homes. They will be available at 8 weeks of age (May 7th). Ella is very loving, attention-seeking, and is perfect for a large family due to her pleasant temperament. As for the kittens, each one has a unique personality. Give us a call at (716) 492-1200 if you are interested in adopting one of these adorable kitties!
We are back from vacation. As you probably recall, Dr. Songster and her family traveled to Louisville, KY this past weekend so that Dr. Songster could compete in her first ever Ironman Triathlon Competition. Remember that an Ironman triathlon is a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon run all done in one day. We thought that you might enjoy this little video that we put together. And remember - never, no matter, stop dreaming and stop believing in yourself. If you believe in yourself, anything is possible!! Dr. Songster can attest to that!! :-)
Puppies!!! They bring a smile to our faces every single time!!! Congratulations Nala - they are beautiful!!!
Did you know that we here at Pioneer Paws Veterinary Clinic "Pioneer the Way" in quality comprehensive companion animal veterinary dental care? Dr. Songster has a special interest in cat and dog dentistry and strives to offer the best veterinary dental care to each and every patient. One of the most satisfying parts of our dental program is knowing that we alleviate the dental pain that our patients suffer from - hidden from view and unknown to their owners and caretakers - with every procedure that we do. Ringo is one such patient that showed his owner just how much of a difference our dental program made in his life. Ringo suffered from painful dental disease - a combination of an allergy to plaque on the surface of his teeth and "resorptive lesions" (painful holes in the teeth caused by his own body attacking the surface of his teeth). Ringo needed to have nearly every tooth and tooth remnant surgically removed in an extensive dental surgery procedure but the results were worth it. Six weeks later his owner sent us these pictures along with the following note: "Just wanted to throw out a HUGE thank you to Dr. Songster and staff for giving my sweet Ringo new life! He is back to leaping, climbing walls and creating total chaos with his "brother", Sheldon. Thought that you all would like to see some pics on how well he has been getting along." We are so grateful to have been able to help Ringo's owner help him - this is but one example of why we do what we do!! This makes our hearts sing!! :-)
