All About A Farm We bring the farm to you! We offer chickens, bunnies, goats, and ducks for your petting pleasure! All of the animals are friendly and clean and love attention!
(1)

Who is in the Petting Zoo:
For most parties and events, we bring 3 chickens, 2 bunnies, 2 goats, and 2 ducks. The animals consist of a variety of breeds and colors to really "wow" guests. Our Setup:
Setup usually takes place about 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. The fencing is flexible and stands alone (no staking required), so we can set up just about any size, shape, and on most ter

rains. An area approximately 8ft x 8ft should do, and preferably shaded. No shade? looks like rain? No problem! We can set up our easy-up canopy so guests and animals can still have a great time. Just provide access to a water source and we take care of the rest. Attendants usually give guests a heads-up 5-10 minutes before the end of the session to say goodbye to the animals, then take 20-30 minutes clean up and head out afterwards. Having a theme party? Let us know when booking! Some of the animals wear costumes or accessories, and we try to make your event as special as possible! General Rules for Interacting with the Animals:

1. Animals like to stay on the ground and be pet softly- for their safety and yours, we do not allow picking up/holding/carrying of any of the animals. We do provide brushes, so guests can brush the animals, and oftentimes they will happily sit with/on visitors who sit down in the petting zoo!

2. Keep hands, fingers, and toes out of eyes, ears, mouths, and butts- we want guests to be safe and we want the animals to have a great time and love their job too, so treating them with the utmost respect is very important to us.

3. No feeding unless given permission- For their safety and yours, we do not generally encourage feeding. While the animals are very respectful, feeding can make them pushy over time which can become dangerous for both them and our guests. Instead, we want our animals to seek petting and affection, which they definitely do!

4. Use provided hand sanitizer or wash hands after petting the animals- The animals are as clean as we can manage, but they are still farm animals and that means they have some dirt and germs on them. To stay happy and healthy after being with the animals, we highly encourage good hygiene practices!

We often get asked if we adopt out our bunnies or where families can get a bunny….rabbits are not your typical pet and can be a lot for a young family. If you are interested in bringing a rabbit into your family, please consider fostering 💗

URGENT ‼️ URGENT 🚨

Friends, the San Jose Shelter is at crisis level with over 65 rabbits. We have been taking in a lot of medical needs rabbits and babies from the San Jose Shelter for sometime now. We too are full. Medical needs rabbits and babies keep our foster homes full for a long time. We can only help the shelter with their current rabbits if we have people who are willing to open their hearts and homes to foster. Will you help?

We provide any needed supplies and cover medical expenses. Fosters transport to and from Veterinary appointments and to adoption events. Fosters care for their foster bunny until they are adopted. If you live in the Greater Sacramento area or the Bay Area and can foster, please DM us ASAP.

Please help us to help these precious bunnies 🐰

Well, two big announcements really 😉
About a month ago, we brought home Sky, a 4 year old, heavily pregnant Nigerian dwarf/boer cross. On Friday 3/8 at around 10 and 10:30am, her twin bucklings (baby boys) JackJack and Aero were born thanks to help from our wonderful employee, Mari 💗
Mama Sky and her babies will be VERY happy to meet everyone at petting zoo events in the coming weeks as they get bigger and stronger and the weather warms up! (PS. We still have one attendant available for Easter Sunday! 😉🐰)

If anyone is able to contribute- one of my sisters rescued a very sweet, but (unbeknownst to her and her family) a very sick 3-month-old mini calf. Ta**us is currently at UC Davis with a systemic infection likely stemming from an unclean umbilical cord at birth. He was also likely weaned too early by the previous owner who got him from an auction, causing his rumen to be underdeveloped.

Any amount helps! He is in good hands and will have a wonderful life if he can make it through this! ❤️

My family and I are new to farm life and just began our journey a couple months ago… Jennifer Moore needs your support for Help us save sweet Ta**us the calf

☀️“Rabbits dont survive in heat” ☀️

Oftentimes yes, but there are things we can do to help!

When its not an option to bring your buns inside, the most important thing to do is keep them out of direct sunlight! Remember- it is always cooler in the shade. Rabbits are not generally warm weather animals because they do not dissipate (release) heat very well. Their main cooling method is via surrounding air taking heat away from blood vessels in the ears since that us one of the few areas not covered in fur. Side note: Marshmallow’s long, fluffy fur actually dissipates heat better than the others with sleek coats because it has more air in it!

This is the premise behind my cooling methods- wetting the ears gives them the power of evaporative cooling, like how we sweat to cool down (they dont have that ability). The wet rag on the ceramic plate also helps pull heat from the bunny’s core.

About 10-20 years ago, putting a frozen water bottle in your bunny’s hutch was a popular method for cooling, but more research has shown that this increases the risk of heatstroke and heart attack by almost double because the bunny will not properly thermoregulate! So, keep your bunnies shaded, hydrated, and when it comes to heat, dissipate, dont freeze!

17/05/2023

It’s that time of year again! As many of you know, bunnies can be heat-sensetive. It used to be common practice to give them ice blocks or frozen water bottles to lay on, but studies have shown that this increases the chances of heat stroke and/or heart attack as they lose their ability to thermoregulate naturally and forget to hydrate! Bunny gatorade keeps them hydrated, healthy, and happy, even on the warmest days 😎
