I FOUND A DECADES-OLD CHRISTMAS GIFT WITH MY NAME INSIDE THE WALLS OF MY LATE PARENTS' HOUSE WHILE RENOVATING.
After my parents passed, I was renovating the house I grew up in. While working on the wall near the kitchen, I found something strange hidden in the drywall — an old, dusty package wrapped in faded Christmas paper with a bow. The strangest part? My name, Janet, was on the tag.
Curious, I opened it and found a VHS tape with a note: "This will change your life."
I rushed to find my old VCR and popped in the tape, unsure what I was about to uncover. The screen flickered and showed a little boy I didn't recognize smiling. Then the video cut out. Static filled the screen for a few seconds before my parents appeared.
