Black Beauty Shepherds Here at BBS, we breed for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism, trainability, and intelligence. True hearty, rugged GSDs.

We provide our families with confident, healthy, devoted family companions that possess stable temperaments and working drive. I am a small hobby breeder of the GSD located in the farmlands of Northern Maine just outside the Woodstock Canadian border. I keep my operation small and manageable which enables me to focus more on each individual dog and go above and beyond for the care of my canines and the puppies they produce. I focus on temperament, loyalty and intelligence for ease of training.

A Difficult Update About Storm's Puppies

Hi everyone,

First, I want to deeply apologize for the delay in updating you about Storm Cloud’s delivery. I know many of you have been anxiously waiting for news, and I truly appreciate your patience. Life has been a whirlwind latelyβ€”my work schedule has changed drastically, and balancing everything has been challenging compared to when I worked from home. Finding the time to sit down and write this has been tough, but I know you all care so much about Storm and her puppies, so here it goes.

Storm gave birth to her puppies recently, and while she did her absolute best, it was not an easy journey. The delivery was incredibly difficult, and despite her strength and our efforts, we tragically lost two of her little ones. πŸ’” It’s a heartbreaking loss, and I know Storm gave it everything she had.

The good news is that we have four beautiful, healthy puppies who are thriving under Storm’s care. She’s been such a brave and loving mama, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. 🐾❀️

I promise I’ll share pictures of the puppies tomorrow on my day off so you can see the precious little ones Storm worked so hard to bring into the world. Thank you for your patience and understandingβ€”I’ll keep you all updated! 🐢✨

Well, sometimes life has a way of surprising us! Turns out that while I was at work, our clever boy **Bear** managed to pull off a little β€œmission” and got to **Storm**… and now we’re expecting puppies! 🐾

Yes, you read that right! Storm and Bear have an **unexpected litter on the way**! It’s a shock, but it’s also incredibly excitingβ€”especially for all of you who have been waiting for a puppy from this incredible pair. They’re due soon, and we can’t wait to meet these little bundles of joy!

15 minute recess outside. It was a little cold, but they still enjoyed themselves. This is the last week with Alaska, Texas, Cali and Montana. They will leave my care and start their next chapter in life which comes on Sunday. I hope the 4 families are ready to experience what it means to have a BBS pup. I should say 3 families because Montana will be joining his big brother very soon! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

HAPPY 6 WEEKS! πŸŽ‰ Puppies are now 6 weeks old which means only 2 more weeks before they start their new journeys. I will be meeting the families for puppy pick-up so please message me to let me know where you would like to meet. It would be ideal to choose an easy place on/off the highway as I am traveling to New Hampshire on the day of. Anywhere South of Houlton I can meet and I do mean anywhere. I want to leave my house around 9 am as it will take me 3 hours to get to Southern Maine. Again, message me so we can plan the day for March 3rd.

Texas in action. He is such a bold little pup. Look how he approaches Jude (cat) with no cares in the world. He is going to bring someone's family happiness and joy. This is BBS's last litter. After these pups leave you will not be able to get one of our pups again. Our main focus is temperament, and then comes trainability. Our puppies have incredible intelligence, loyalty, and drive. There is never a dull day with a German Shepherd from BBS! Don't miss out on your last chance to bring home one of our extraordinary puppies.

Morning puppy chores and some romping around. Texas (red-collar) still needs his forever home. Only 3 weeks left to go.

My gosh, so dramatic with the whining just to go back out and play. These pups are a bunch of pork chops. Mama has been away for half the day and they are doing so well without her being with them 24/7. Storm loves the break but also loves being with them again. They no longer get moistened kibble, they graduated to dry food only. They will soon be getting their aptitude tests around 5 1/2 weeks, but I already know they will all pass with flying colors. In closing, all puppies are wonderfully delightful in every way. β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ§‘πŸ 𝐦𝐚π₯𝐞𝐬 𝟏 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚π₯𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐒π₯π₯ 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐒π₯πšπ›π₯𝐞. 𝐎𝐧π₯𝐲 πŸ’ 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐀𝐬 π₯𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨!!

Morning shenanigans. 🐾🐾 Two males and one female available. I will be driving down to New Hampshire March 3rd so I will be meeting families for their puppies. Any place between Maine and New Hampshire I can meet. DM to secure your BBS pup before they are all gone.

Puppy playtime with a five year old. They are getting so big and are starting to really enjoy their playtime. My grandson loves playing with the puppies and they absolutely love him. They are all very sweet and are already showing wonderful personalities/temperaments. They will be 4 weeks in only 3 days. They all had their nails trimmed today and another wormer dose. They are a bundle of love. β€οΈβ€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ§‘πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’™

Here they are, whining for Mama. She is starting to leave them for longer and they are beginning to adjust. I actively try to break them from their feeling of aloneness. All the pups did great and will get better with time. πŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ§‘

Cali (orange/purple-collar), is a sweetheart. She is the biggest in the litter and is showing signs of a great personality. Very relaxed and laid-back (as all the pups are), very nice female indeed. πŸ§‘πŸ’œ
