Ruger loves to go for a ride but not today. Auntie Lue has a quick trip to the market and back home. She will fluff your floof later. š
It is a moody day outside but still beautiful, especially with a few of our fluffy family members ready to say good morning.
Ruger first wagging a hopeful tail, Bailey still trying to wake up, Busy gearing up to chase my tires when Iām heading out the driveway. š

I was cleaning my garden shanty this afternoon and flying my kite. The dogs were all helpful and stuff. š
Ruger gets so intense about running water. š That boy loves to play in water. He also loves barking and chasing after my kite. He also walked inside my garden shanty and promptly peed on some sticks. šš
That boy is all character, all day long. He makes me giggleā¦heās just so intense and playful. š
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon out āhelpingā me with my work. I bet the neighbor lady thought if I just put the dogs away Iād get my work done in half the timeā¦trueā¦but I wouldnāt have had as much fun. ššš
The video is kind of roughā¦I wasnāt always focused on my cameraā¦but you can still see the fun Ruger, old boy was having.

Notice the wagging tail? Thatās a hope filled tail wag. Ruger is hoping Iāll let them come out to the front yard and I told him thatās the kind of help I do NOT need today. Always sticking noses into where noses shouldnāt go and I donāt want a paint catastrophe.š
(Iām painting the garage door today.)
Tomorrow, my loves. Tomorrow. Today we let the paint dry.

Good ābriskā morning from the doggos. š

I had to pick up my mom this morning and just had to get a video of my sisterās goat family. They are so cute. š
My sister lives on the home property and my parents still live there as well. The pond in the background holds many memories for me. Skating in winter, swimming in summer. The pond was part of the neighbor kidās entertainment,as much as it was ours.
One winter the ice was too thin at one part of the pond and dad told us kids not to skate there. While playing tag one of the neighbor men thought he could skate over it anyway and fell through the ice. He was quick and got himself maneuvered out on the solid ice again but when that happened the rest of us quietly skated off the ice, took our skates off and headed to the house. Mom made us all hot chocolate and we sat by the fire and decompressed. The neighbor man came back after changing clothes to reassure us kids he was okay.
Like I saidā¦the pond holds lots of memories. š

Monday morning patrol is alive and awake. I heard quite a fuss going on outside so I went to see what was going on.
The neighborās chicken family decided to venture over to investigate us but our girls were having none of it.
āChicken alert,ā they barked. āChickens on the farm!ā
They wanted to know if they could chase them off. I declined the offer and told them their barking is doing the trick handily. š

They watched me working in the garden most of the day. Each one complaining because I wouldnāt let them āhelpā me, but their help I can do without. Five big dogs running through the garden while Iām trying to work never has a great outcome for me and my vegetables.
One incident that happened earlier this summer was when Busy was out helping me, well, she started to chase a bird and the bird was teasing her and next thing I knew my potato plants looked like a cyclone had gone through them. š I was like, āOh no Busy girl!ā I couldnāt be mad at her, though, for doing what dogs do.
The potatoes recovered. Thankfully.
Lessons learned.
When Iām working in the garden the dogs canāt help me anymore. They can just watch me. š
After I was finished with the garden work for I went to the barn and gave them some good pettings and attention. š

We went on a bit of a vacation and are back home now. I stopped in at my sisterās house today and was met by seven little bouncy teddy bears. They are SOOO cute! š„°
They are so squishy and fluffy and sweet. I think a few are still looking for their families. If you know of anyone wanting a Bernedoodle send them her way. I think she said they are ready to go home on October 7.
Iāll post my sisterās farm page in the comments. She has lots of albums and videos of the puppies on her page.

Mia in the morning. š„°#waterdog #goldenretriever #puppy
Mia - Orange collar is still on the farm with us. She is learning about gardening while she is here. The other day I caught her gleefully running out of the garden with a green ball (pepper). She thought she really had something. š
We are working on crate training at night and last night she bark barked twice and then went quiet. I wonder what her barks were about. No whimpering, just play like barks.
Such a fun little gal. š

Rosie, pink collar and Mia, orange collar fit in one last tussle before Rosie went home with her family yesterday. š„°

Mia and Sadie are still with us here on the farm. Sadie goes home to her family on Thursday and Mia stays with us for a few weeks longer.
I decided to take the girls over to our sonās house tonight so our grandchildren can play with the puppies. What a delightful time it was for the puppies and the grandchildren. š
