There is a nice breeze flowing through the barn, the day is beautiful, and yet, the puppies are sleeping in front of the fan. 😂
I’m guessing their families might want to invest in a personal fan for their puppy when they bring him or her home. 😅🥰
Dog Days of Summer
The puppies enjoy hanging out in front of the fan in the barn. They are always curious what I’m doing outside and join me, but soon they head to the barn to their beloved fan.
They also all LOVE water. When I water the plants I have my helpers ready to catch any wayward water running off the pots. So comical, their obsession. Their daddy is obsessed with water too.
Our family is here from Idaho and the puppies have provided tons of entertainment for the grandchildren. 🥰 Puppies and children go hand in hand.
Golden Retrievers at play. Summer fun. 🥰
Snake slayers
The puppies found a sneaky snake this morning and slayed it. I didn’t see it happen BUT what was left of the snake was on the sidewalk, that’s how I knew they had found one.
I can only imagine the fun they had playing with the snake. 🙈
I left the snake for Mr. Bert to dispose of and by the time he got home they had drug it off somewhere so now I’m always looking to see what is in their mouth before petting them. No surprises for me. 😑
This morning, when I opened my bathroom blind one of the puppies was already out wandering around the backyard. Just checking out the scenery. I love when they get to this age and no longer shy but very curious. No longer babies, heading into their teenage stage. 🥰
They are six weeks old today. I’m going to try to pull weeds between the pavers in our patio this evening. Anyone want to bet how far I’ll get with these three “helping” me? 😂🥰
Three balls of fluff. They are so ornery right now. Going outside is so much more fun now that they are bigger and interacting with us. 🥰
Golden Retriever puppies having fun in the grass.
If Mr. Bert could get them to help him move all those rocks, that would complete the task quicker. 😂
They are so funny and quirky. 💞
Ornery Pups
The puppies are in their “ants in their pants” and “furry alligator” stage. Their hold me still doesn’t hold still for very long and everything is a chew toy.
The male with the blue collar has a white kiss on his forehead.
I can tell they know my voice and are starting to love me. It’s such a fun stage when they transition from mama Busy to Auntie Lue. Busy is starting to show signs she wants to ween. This is typical at this age.
🥰
Saturday Shenanigans
I finally placed collars on them. I kept forgetting, probably because I can tell them apart. The light one is the girl, and the one boy has a white kiss on his forehead.
I’m glad I thought about it though, so they are used to wearing them when they go home.
They have few accidents in the barn, and usually it’s a little pee puddle. They’re definitely figuring out what the grass is.
If you notice the one clip, two of them are laying in some water. This happens with every litter, they play with the water lick and then they like to sleep right there. Why? You have so many other spots, but that is where they like to lay. Hashtag Auntie Lue issues. 😅
They are becoming more cuddly and enjoying interaction more. Our grandchildren have been here a few times and have played with them quite a bit. Puppies love kids and kids love puppies.
They are five weeks old today. Unreal how fast they grow up.
