Male #2 that we kept for evaluation retrieving a bumper in serious mossy mess at 5 months!
This is BOLT, one of the males we kept for eval) from one of our recent litters retrieving a bumper at 5 months in a sloppy Mossy mess!
Utility I X Utility I breeding between: Cross Timber’s Above and Beyond, UT I X Cedarwood’s Cowboy Oakley, UT I. This is a repeat breeding and the first time around produced some great field and water dogs, as well as good family companions.
Cross Timber males retrieving half a bumper each.
Male pup #2 we kept to evaluate retrieving from water. Both are doing well.
Here is 3 month old male #1 we kept for evaluation from our I litter retrieving from water. My son is a good helper.
The two boys swimming for bumpers. 3 months old now. Both pups from our Cross Timber i litter. It’s going to be a tough decision between these boys. May have to ensure both are kept in my program some how. Looked good on pigeons in launchers tonight also.
This is Creed at only 9 weeks old. He is one of the two male pups we kept from our last litter that we are keeping for a while before narrowing it to the one we will give a chance at becoming a stud dog for our Cross Timber breeding program.
He is looking stylish on his first outing on pigeons! High tail and all!! It
May be tough to choose between these two boys before it’s all over. Time will tell. Looking forward to the journey.
I kept two males to evaluate
To determine which I’d keep. They are out of two Utility Prize I dogs. I’m narrowing it down soon, which has been very hard to do. This is a video of Cross Timber Go For Broke. He is a nice dog. Same dog as the one I recently posted chasing the duck. These boys have had lots of exposure on birds and ducks, and are close to being gun broke up to a 20 gauge. They could be lightly hunted this season and seriously trained starting this coming spring as well as seriously hunted next season.
Here is Cross Timber’s Go For Broke chasing a live duck for the first time. We kept he and his brother (Cross Timber’s Guns A Blazing) from our G Litter between Ripsnorter’s Shoot and Miss, Utility I X Cross Timber Above and Beyond, Utility I to evaluate to determine which we will keep as a potential stud for our breeding program. They are only 4 months old now and showing some promise on live game. Been putting them on pigeons, taking them to the water to swim about every day, and Doing some gun conditioning, etc. They are looking good so far. Whoever gets the one I don’t keep will be getting a nice prospect!
I posted a video of Cross Timber’s Driven to Serve (aka Sloan) a while back launching into water for a retrieve. Here is Scout, Sloan’s sister, not to be outdone. This girls pedigree name is Cross Timber’s Duchess Dani. Both of these girls I am fortunate to have in my program.
H Litter:
4 weeks old now and growing.
Another video of our H Litter for those interested. Very healthy and vigorous! Pups are spoken for, but if you want to peruse our 2024 litters that are planned you can view those on our website. To discuss those feel free to reach out.
Cross Timber’s Driven to Serve is turning into one NICE dog. She is from our Cross Timber’s Above and Beyond, UT I X Cedarwood’s Cowboy Oakley, UT I breeding. This is a video of her in training for the upcoming duck season. She is one of our breeding females and is owned by Ryan Adams in TX. We plan to breed her to Stonesthrow’s Icarus next year. Her sister named Cross Timber’s Duchess Dani will be bred to Ripsnorter’s Shoot and Miss, UT I.
G litter- First time at water second set of 4 pups for a total of 8. All swam without an issue.
Cross Timber G Litter first 4 of 8 pups first time at water 7 weeks old. All swam.
Here is another video of a started PP named Howdy retrieving on land. I posted one of him retrieving in water recently. Owner is only asking $2,500.00, which is around the price of a puppy who still needs shots, etc.
He is around 11 months old. He has a nice pedigree and is a nice age for working with this summer. If worked with this summer this dog will be ready to seriously duck and upland hunt with next season. Call +1 (806) 333-5119 if interested. He is not from my breeding program.
Cross Timber’s Duchess Dani - This is a nice female out of Cross Timber’s Above and Beyond by our stud dog Case. She runs hard, points well, and hits the water harder than any female I’ve seen! Take a look! Can’t wait to see the pups she produces in the field in 2024.
