I have procrastinated this post long enough.
I have decided to shut down my pet-sitting services.
There are 2 separate things that have contributed to this decision:
1) The ongoing pandemic.
2) A family situation.
Regarding the pandemic:
As I understand the "Delta variant" has started becoming the dominant variety in the US. In other words the pandemic is still happening in spite of society's "best efforts" to end it.
Regarding the family situation:
I'd reather not provide details for now. This is a situation that has been going downhill over the last 10 to 15 years (depending on the exact details). We are now at a point that I need to stay close to home. I'm staying close to home so I can help out around the house with miscellaneous things. It would be unreasonably difficult for me to work full-time, pet-sit, and "help out around my house".
I understand y'all do not like this decision. I do not like it either. But for now, it is the correct decision to make.
For those of you who want/need a pet-sitter or a place to board your pets, I have a few suggestions:
1) Eastway Pet Care (Eastway Pet Care). They have a FaceBook page.
2) Duthchtown Animal Hospital (Dutchtown Animal Hospital). This is mainly a veterinary clinic with some boarding. This is my main employer. My pet-sitting job was a side job. If you board your pets here, I still get to visit with your pets.
3) Some of my co-workers at Dutchtown Animal Hospital also pet-sit as a side job. You can ask the secretaries there if anyone pet-sits.
