Make sure you are verifying health testing. Also, make sure your breeder is using a cardiologist to test hearts - best practice is an echo!

Did you know? Dogs must be 24 months or older for OFA Hip and Elbow certification, and 12 months or older for Cardiac, Patellas, and Thyroid certification. There is no age minimum for eye certification, nor for DNA, since DNA does not change as the dog ages.

The OFA also does Preliminary evaluations on hips and elbows before 24 months of age. However, they will need to be re-evaluated again for a final certification once the dog reaches 24 months.

Individual breeds may have different minimum age requirements for their CHIC program, which is determined by their parent club.

Good boy, goodest boy Bo Bo. Way to go, Christine .m.torrez.fineart and Ashoka, who earned their second RA leg with a beautiful run and score. Disappointing she decided she must come into season before her run on day two - bi***es. Also, congrats to Kelsey and Thidy, who earned their 3rd triple Q! Was also so fun to get to watch Krista and Elenor earn a leg in Rally Choice today! Congratulations! The corso represented well! Thank you to our wonderful judges who really were a pleasure! Also, thank you to the Mile High Golden Retriever Club for a fun, well-run trial.

What a beautiful weekend for a scentwork trial. Was a little worried how the boys would perform with two bi***es in season at home, but they did not disappoint.

Zinni Zinni Chicken Dinni! 🌟🌺

Our girl Zinnia shined bright at the AKC National Championship, taking Select Bitch among absolutely stunning competition! Thank you to judge Ms. Pamela Bruce for this honor🏆✨

She strutted her stuff with style and grace, proving she’s more than just a pretty face! 🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who helped show her and cheered her on from ringside. It takes a village, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Zinnia, you’re a beauty inside and out, and we’re so proud of you! We look forward to seeing what she contributes to our program in the next year in the whelping box 🤞 🥰💖

Aster: From Couch to the Ring! 🌟🐾

Our resident couch queen, Aster, traded in her cozy spot for a week in the spotlight—and she rocked it! 🛋️➡️✨

We brought her out for some fun, and she didn’t disappoint:
✨ Made the cut in 4 out of 5 shows!
✨ Pulled off Select Bitch in a stunning lineup of special bi***es at the Brevard Kennel Club show. A huge thank you to Judge Mr. Juan Miranda for finding our pretty red head 🎉

Not bad for a girl who spends most of her days ruling the couch kingdom, right? 👑🐕

Tater-Tot Takes Orlando by Storm! 🏆🐾

Tater-Tot had an absolutely fabulous time at the AKC National Championship in Orlando! 🌟 Despite having only a handful of ring appearances locally, we decided to hold off on trying to finish her AKC Championship until this big moment—and wow, what a decision that turned out to be!

✨ Highlights of her week:

- Winning her class and Winners Bitch not once, but three times!
- Officially earning her AKC Championship title! 🎉
- Handling a 27-hour road trip, hotel stays, and the hustle and bustle of a massive dog show like a total pro! 🐶💪

Tater-Tot clearly follows in her family’s impressive pawprints:
🐾 Her grandmother, Curly, won Winners Bitch at the 2018 AKC National Championship.
🐾 She’s now the 4th AKC Champion from her litter, earning her dam, Ember, a Reproduction Champion title with just one litter.
🐾 And she’s added an 8th Champion to Mantis’s incredible list of titled offspring!

A huge THANK YOU to her amazing owners for all the love and dedication they’ve poured into her journey. And a special shoutout to my niece and Alex for stepping into the ring when I was busy with specials—teamwork makes the dream work! 💖

We had a blast in Pueblo CO last weekend - dog show blast and winter storm blast. Huge congratulations to Kelsey and Thidy, who earned a Regular Group 2 and OH Groups 2 and 3. Also, to Kylie and Major for an OH Group 2!! I'm so happy and lucky to be their breeder sitting ring side watching these teams succeed.
