We had a blast in Pueblo CO last weekend - dog show blast and winter storm blast. Huge congratulations to Kelsey and Thidy, who earned a Regular Group 2 and OH Groups 2 and 3. Also, to Kylie and Major for an OH Group 2!! I'm so happy and lucky to be their breeder sitting ring side watching these teams succeed.

Guess I should have waiting an couple of hours to post, but I wasn't expecting OFA results that quickly. OFA Hips Good and Elbows Normal for Drax as well :) A wonderful dog with a great temperament and good health testing results - we are pleased!

Pleased with these PennHIP results for Drax (Drama-Llama) from our Mantis X Curly litter. Drax also had his OFA Cardiac with an Echo in September and passed that as well.

It’s official—huge congratulations to our newest AKC Champion, "Khan," also known as Oakie Dokie WindyPine’s King of the Jungle, proudly co-owned with the Taylor family.

I couldn’t be more proud of how well this boy has performed in the ring. His owners have done a phenomenal job with him, and it certainly shows. Like his brothers, Khan stepped into the ring just a handful of times and quickly earned his championship. I get emotional seeing him because he reminds me so much of his grandfather, Xerxes. His achievement means that every male Mantis has produced is now an AKC Champion. Now, it's time to focus on some of the girls!

I have always felt fortunate to place my puppies in exceptional homes, and Kelsey is no exception. In the winter of 2021, Kelsey reached out to express her interest in a Cane Corso after meeting a couple of my dogs. She was looking for "a male to learn conformation showing and compete in rally obedience, with hopes of later participating in agility or fast CAT."

Kelsey has not only learned to show with Thidwick but has also developed into a skilled handler, making them a remarkable team to watch. Their achievements in 2024 alone have been outstanding, earning Select Dog and Best of Breed Owner-Handled (BOBOH) at the CCAA 2024 National Specialty, multiple regular group placements, several Owner-Handled Reserve Best in Shows (OHRBIS), and numerous OH group placements. They finished their Owner-Handler year as the #2 Cane Corso and consistently ranked within the top 10 dogs in breed points—without running a single advertisement and with limited showing.

Beyond their success in the conformation ring, Kelsey and Thidwick have earned titles in Rally through Excellent, Beginner Novice, BCAT, Trick Dog Intermediate, all levels of the CGC, and Farm Dog Certified.

A huge congratulations to Team Thidwick, and my sincere gratitude to Kelsey for her dedication to him, their impressive accomplishments, and their continued commitment to the breed.

Well, it's not a bad start on our journey towards a RACH for Bo - three triple Qs with decent scores. Thank you to judges, Mrs. Barbara Wedekind Selton and Ms. Lora Seale.
Ares finished his AKC Championship with two more majors. Thank you, Judges Ms. Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine and Mrs. Sioux Forsyth-Green for recognizing him. Congratulations to his co-owner Josh. He is 14 months old and the second AKC Champion from our Mantis X Ember litter. Mantis sixth AKC Champion produced making him a reproduction Champion.
Tater and Junior got in a few FastCAT runs.
Tater and Ares earned some CGC titles.
Overall a great weekend. Thank you to the for the wonderful trials.

The 2024 CCAA National Specialty weekend was a blast. Our dogs came away with a few ribbons, but most importantly, they were excellent ambassadors of the breed.

Zinnia was awarded BOS on Thursday at the CCAA supported entry show with an entry of 65 Cane Corso. A huge thank you to Judge John Constantine-Amodei for recognizing our girl so highly. She also made the short list every day among some beautiful bi***es.

Thidwick and Kelsey were Select Dog and BOBOH at the National on Saturday with an entry of 83 Cane Corso. Thank you to Mr. Douglas A. Johnson for awarding Thidwick so highly among such a strong group of dogs. They went on to win an OHGRP1 and OHRBIS. Thank you to judges, Mr. Olvis and Mrs. Meyer. Thidy also made the cut on Sunday. I am so proud of this team and all they have accomplished 👏

Two years in a row, our boys have won BOBOH at the CCAA Nationals 2023, which was Morton and 2024 Thidwick - littermate brothers!

Twinner and my niece earned their first leg in Rally Novice. My niece also won the CCAA Junior Showcase and a couple of placements in her Juniors class.

Now we start preparing for next year with a bit shorter drive. Congratulations to all the winners and exhibitors alike. Thank you to Stacy for taking care of the dogs at home!

We had quite the adventure in Casper, WY this past weekend! It kicked off with a few electrical hiccups in our RV, quickly followed by an unnamed dog (cough... Zinnia... cough...) deciding to turn on the water while we were busy competing. This little stunt left our grey tank overflowing and our fresh water tank nearly empty. Just when we thought it couldn't get any more exciting, a wild storm swooped in out of nowhere and obliterated our awning—all within a span of 24 hours.
And to top it all off, I picked up a nail in my tire on my way to drop off a couple of dogs to their co-owners. It certainly wasn't my best dog show weekend, but we survived, and our dogs performed wonderfully. Sometimes you just have to laugh and roll with the punches! Each dogs results for the day:

We are so excited about this young prospect not quite a year old. He finished in style last weekend, going BOB over some lovely specials for his first major and WD BOW for a 4 point major the following day.

Thidy - BOS, first leg for Rally Excellent Scoops - WD 5 Point major to finish his CH. Huge congratulations to his owner @crowsbait and thank you to his owner and Sarah Angler @black_magic_cane_corsos. Sarah had already put one major on him and 8 points going into the weekend. Our weekend started out with a bang. After not showing but very limitedly and not in months, Zinnia went BOB her first time back out in the ring on Friday and BOS on Saturday. She is so much fun to show. I believe she is one of the nicest bitches I have ever produced and look forward to see what she can do in the next few months. . Twinner picked up her second major on Friday going WB and BOW. No love on Saturday, but that's okay. . Khan went RWD on Friday. Saturday, he really impressed me in the ring but had no love for him either from the judge. Congratulations @raising_khan_tv . Thidwick was select on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. BOHOH Friday and Sunday. Congratulations Kelsey! @ktof_n_chrome . Latte showed fantastically Friday and Saturday. Thank you, Stacy. @mantis_and_son @kennedyfonte. @kylie_rose19_ @shannonmariefonte . Two of our dogs participated in Juniors over the weekend with some great kiddos as well. . Thank you to our judges over the weekend, especially judge Ms. Peggy Beisel-Mcllwaine. Thank you to all of our wonderful puppy homes who come out or let me borrow their dogs. @mikewjacob Thank you, Mike, for getting the RV all ready for our weekend and watching all the doggies at home so we could have a fun weekend. Also, a huge thank you to Cathy @rott_n_catanderson and Danny for the help with the motorhome on Sunday when we were leaving. If there is anyone I am forgetting, I sincerely apologize.

WindyPine dogs had a busy weekend. Morton went 8/8 in scentwork earning his Novice Containers title, a 4th place in Novice Exterior. Kronos and Jennifer went 5/8 earning his Novice Exterior and Containers title, a first place in Novice Buried and a few third places. Team Thidwick went down to NM, where they earned an OHGrp 4 and tried out Rally Advanced for the first time, earning a 99 and their first leg. So proud of them all. Congratulations, @kronosthecorso and @ktof_n_chrome !!!

Super proud of this pupper and his team. He attended his first show over the weekend in Tulsa OK. He went WD and BOW both days for his first 4 points and earned a Puppy Working Group 1. HUGE thanks to his wonderful co-owner Imogine and handler Sarah Angler for getting him out and making sure he had a great time in the ring. .
