Before adopting Yeti we were told that any grooming, especially brushing, lead to him biting and “freaking out”. As i tell all of my clients, stop fighting with your dogs! Yeti hates being restrained and feeds off of his handlers emotions. So we play ball, then bring the brush out and calmly brush. If he needs a break he can just walk away and not surprisingly he always comes back for me because I am calm and happy. Stop wasting your energy to fight for dominance over your pet and work together!!
Training + teamwork= a happier life for everyone
Someone loves the snow😂 If training doesn’t involve fun and rewards for your dog whats the point? I know I don’t want to work for free, so why should your pup?
Mazy is learning to tolerate gear, recall, impulse control, and practicing her basics all in a fun game of fetch.
Playtime is a must!
Playtime is a must! We may spend all day working hard, but your dog sees it as a game. Rosie rocked her confidence building so we had fun simply playing fetch and working on basics🖤🐾
Testing Archies’ newest skill-“settle”. It is so important for service dogs to be able to relax & hold a stay in even the most tempting environments. Archie loves play, even more difficult he loves playing with Jodi and Rhea. Good boy Archie!
This is training!
Sometimes in busy environments nervous, young, or inexperienced dogs need help. They are not doing it to annoy you, there is an error in communication.
Asking for a sit & stay in a calm environment is very different than asking for it in a crazy environment. The busier environment is slightly unsettling for him, thats ok.
By keeping calm and happy you can see he begins to calm down and do as asked.
Remember train the dog in-front of you, not the theory.

Snow Fun!
Getting the pups out for some fun in the snow! Snow days can be a blast, just make sure your dog doesn't get too chilly and their paw pads stay clear of ice. 🐾❄️
Adult 2 Group
Todays group class was great!!
I get this question a lot- “what will my dog do when you are not training?”
We play! If your dog is good with other dogs they get to run with the pack. If they are here for dog aggression/reactivity then we play 1 on 1, although most dogs match to Rhea well and end up running with her!
I cannot say enough how proud I am of Nino and his owners!(big red bully breed) Previously labeled dog aggressive, Nino was a handful. With a lot of hard work on his owners part, Nino is turning into an amazing dog who in the next couple months will be rocking his Canine Good Citizen.
This is what happens when you put the work in and train! Cant wait to keep adding to his list of dog friends and titles. Good job Nino!!
We now have 2 openings for our reactive dog class! This class is every Thursday from 5pm-6pm, this is a “pay as you go” style class with very limited spots! If you are not a current client you will need to set up an evaluation before attending to make sure your dog is ready for this level!
Duncan is the perfect example of why we start young! Such a good boy!
