Bringing a baby into a home is a huge adjustment for pets. New smells, new sounds, less attention, changes in routine and energy in the home.

I firmly believe children that are raised (appropriately) around animals are blessed. They become empathetic, loving and kind.

When you first bring a new baby home expect your pet to be unsure. They will sense your fatigue, anxiety, worry and stress.

They will try to be involved because they are part of the family! They might not be happy at first, but they’ll learn with time and patience.

They deserve that. Your time, your patience and your understanding. If you have a toddler and you bring a new baby home you explain things in depth and you teach your toddler how to behave around the new baby. Your pet deserves the same.

Please don’t expect just to know they aren’t suppose to lick, jump, scratch, etc. they need to be taught patiently. They need to be loved and included.

It’s ok to keep your pet on a leash for safety Initially. But please don’t isolate or ignore your pet. You wouldn’t do that to a toddler child. That will cause the wrong behaviors to manifest. And your pet will feel unimportant and discarded. Undesirable Behaviors will reflect this.

There will be jealousy. There will be confusion and uncertainty. But if you treat your pet the way you would treat your toddler who is welcoming home their first sibling, you will end up with an animal that adores your baby.

So bring home items that smell like the baby before the baby comes home. Give these to your pet. Show the pet the new areas for the baby. Make it FUN for your pet. Include your pet, while keeping everyone (baby and pet) safe. Your family can grow WITH your pet. And everyone, including your pet, can be happy and feel loved. Your pet deserves the time, patience, and inclusion. They would never ignore or isolate you.

And please, teach your baby/child to be gentle with your pet when that time comes. I see too many pets tolerating things they are unfair.

And as a bonus pets are GREAT at making babies and kids laugh!! And they make great best friends for kids.

We often make our pets feel unsafe, unintentionally. They want to trust us, they know they need someone to take care of them.

But, even if we show them love and affection 85% of the time, the 10-15% that we don’t will affect our relationship and their behavior. It starts to create a question in their mind about trusting us.

Some of the ways we unintentionally, lose our pets trust and make them feel unsafe.

* Jokes (jokes that create reactions from them). Pets don’t understand jokes. Social media makes this look funny but trust me your pets DO NOT think it’s funny. They lose trust in you.

* Yelling (even if not at them)

* Forcing them into situations or places they are afraid of. This DOES NOT help them get brave.

* Throwing things (even if not at them)

* Disapproval/ Disappointment when they display natural behaviors (chewing, barking, drooling, licking, running, scratching, etc..)

* Anger (even if not directed at them).

Our pets are always watching us. And things we do that are not even directed at them or in response to them DOES affect them and our trust.

So when your pets are around, in the room, in the house, anywhere your pet can see or hear you, remember your actions affect your relationship with them.

They are beings that are 100% reliant on us. Making sure they always safe and never have to question their trust in you, is the BEST thing you can do as a guardian for them.

Your pet will tell you everything you need to know with their behavior and expressions.

The problem is humans don’t truly listen. They observe. And they project.

They think animals should “know better” or are “being jerk”. This could not be farther from the truth.

They are communicating in the only way they know how. If something is upsetting them or if they aren’t well@emotionally or physically, they are trying to show you so you can help.

As humans we have control to change things we don’t like or things that aren’t good for us. Animals can’t do that so they try to show us they need our help and support.

Be patient. Be empathetic. Help them don’t scold them.

If you need help understanding what they need I can help

Instead of trying to change your pets or train them into something they aren’t, let them be themselves. It’s easier. They’ll feel more accepted and more loved.

If they are silly and active and mischievous, don’t try to train them to walk by your side, lay down in the house, etc. Let them run and play and lead! Let them explore. Let them get into (appropriate) things, like a toy box, a sniff box, etc.

If they are a guarding breed, don’t try to train them not to bark. Silence is foreign to them and they will feel they are failing at doing their job to protect you.

If youre pet is crabby and irritable (yes some are), let them be! When they want to be left alone, don’t force yourself on them.

If your pet is easily frightened, don’t tease them, scare them intentionally for a laugh, or do things to see their reaction. You are only making them more insecure and losing their trust.

If your pet is outgoing, let them meet people and animals! If your pet is shy and reserved, don’t force them to meet new people and animals.

Let your pet be itself and it will pay off, I promise. You’ll have a happier, more balanced, more relaxed, well behaved animal.

I have done many lost pet sessions. Here are some things I want to share with all of you. Important things to remember to keep your animals SAFE. A lost pet is heart breaking for the guardians and scary for the animal. Though some lost animals are just freak accidents, most are preventable. Even if you don’t think you’ll ever lose your pet I encourage you to read all of the information below. Maybe it will come in useful. Maybe you can share it with someone. Hopefully it’s never needed. But if it saves even one pet from getting lost, it’s worth it.

It’s the animals that people think will never “run away” that get lost most often. Most likely the guardians aren’t as aware or attentive because of a false sense of security.
Newly adopted pets go missing ALL the time. Within days of adoption. Keep an eye on them, because they will be adjusting and maybe fearful they may try to run out the door, slip a collar, or just have another “new pet” incident occur. These animals DO NOT know where home is.
Holidays! With people in and out and more going on, animals can get scared and flee. Or they may unknowingly slip out of the door or fenced area due to guests leaving things open, not paying attention, or just the animal not being properly supervised because of the busy environment.
Fireworks. Even pets you think aren’t afraid have the potential to get spooked one time. When there are fireworks secure your pet at all times. This is the biggest cause of missing pets.
Car accidents. So many dogs are lost from accident scenes. They are not near home, don’t know how to get back home, and sometimes they are even injured. Buckle your pets in like you would do with your kids. It keeps them safe. The last thing you want to worry about during a car accident is where your dog is. The flee the scene quick and far because they are so afraid.
Put a GPS on your pet. Please! Identification tags and microchips are great if they end up found but most animals are too scared to ever approach a human when they are lost. A GPS will help you find your animal right away! This is the single best thing you can do to make sure your pet is found. And make sure the GPS collar stays charged to at least 35% so you have a buffer of time if the animal is lost.
Sadly, the vast majority of lost pets will never return home. They either are too afraid to show themselves to humans, they will die, they will get hurt and be unable to get to help, or they will be picked up and never identified. When fear takes over they are irrational. They will not come to people or you, they get too scared.

* Question Week Special *

If I have done a reading on your pet before you can take advantage of this special!

$75 for up to 5 questions

This is only for animals I have connected with before. Why? Because I have already given them an opportunity to share during their original session. It would not honor the animal if I connected with a new animal, did not give them the opportunity to speak/share and just asked them questions.

The reading will consist of questions only.  There are times when it is very important to allow the animal the time to share freely, so if you need a full reading that can be scheduled at any time.  You will know what is best for your animal.

This is a great way to follow up with your pet on things that may have come up during previous session, new things, or just a check in

There is no soul on this earth that will help you, heal you, or love you as selflessly as your pets.

Words are not needed, just their energy. They truly are magical beings.

All of our pets have messages for us beyond the things they are here to teach us. At various times in our lives our pets will try to share these appropriate messages with us. Some may consider it advice. Some may consider things we just need to hear. No matter how you view it, it is helpful, relevant, and meaningful.

Everything our animals do is done with intention.

When you need you need help or support in life, go sit with your pets. They will help. And maybe if you are silent and open you will feel the message they are sharing with you. When you feel happy, go sit with your pet, they will STILL have a message for you.

Even if you can’t hear it, try to feel it.

And if you want to hear the exact words, schedule a reading. You can ask your pet what messages your pet has for you. And you’ll be glad you did

You are doing everything right.

You stay patient and calm even though it’s hard because you are stressed.

You use kind words and a gentle voice even though you want to cry or scream.

You truly are calm when with your pet even though life is so stressful right now.

Maybe you aren’t even stressed about your pet. It might be work, a relationship, money, etc…

Your pet keeps acting up. Maybe peeing or pooping in the house.

You are doing everything right and can’t figure out WHY your pet is showing behavioral issues. Nothing has changed in the home or routine. You are calm and happy with your pet. So what’s going on?

You pet senses your stress. We can’t hide it from them even when we try. Your pet senses your anxiety. Your pet FEELS your stress/anxiety/anger. Your pet’s dont like this feeling for themselves or you so they act out. They don’t know what else to do.

They are worried about you. They are sad for you. When it’s really bad, they panic. And their behaviors reflect that. They are stressed from your stress even though their life is stable and happy.

So what can you do? The only thing you can do is try to manage your own stress. Do it for them. And even more importantly, understand how much YOUR stress causes your pet stress.

We live busy, chaotic lives, and this is not comfortable for animals. We bring this home to them and it is hard for them to feel that energy from us. Remember our pets ALWAYS reflect us.

This isn’t just about taking a breathe and clearing your energy before walking into the house with them. It is about maintaining a daily lifestyle that promotes wellness both emotionally and spiritually for yourself so your pets don’t have to worry about you.

If you want to know for sure what is bothering your pet we can ask in a session.

Angie Morin, Animal Communicator

Angie Morin has felt a deep connection to animals since she was a child. She has spent her life working with animals and communicating with them. Angie has always been known to have a “special way” of connecting with animals. Animals of all types have always been drawn to her. Health and happy animals and animals in need. From dogs and cats and horses to squirrels and other “non traditional” animals, animals always seem to find Angie and attach to her. These always relax and feel very comfortable around her. She has been a professional equestrian, rider, and trainer for years. Always taking in the horses others couldn't work with. All of these “unruly” horses blossomed under Angie. She has always had a way of communicating with them. Years ago, Angie embarked on a more spiritual journey that allowed her to tap into a level of communication with animals. She has worked with many spiritual mentors to further strengthen and develop the skills she was born with.

Now Angie offers personalized readings for others. She not only can help you work through problems you are having with your pet but Angie can tell you what your animals purpose is in your life. Animals come into our lives for reasons we don't know of at the time. They are here on soul contracts with us to help us learn and develop and evolve. Despite the depth of the relationship between humans and the animals in their lives, some of Angie’s clients simple want a reading just to learn more about their animals wants, needs, and personality. Either way, for fun or for more in depth purposes a reading with Angie and your pet is sure to help strengthen the relationship between you and your pet and help you evolve spiritually.
