Update-Our December 29 Walk In Dog Neuter day has received hundreds of shares which is awesome! But please be aware, space is limited for that date so if you want a guaranteed appointment to get your dog spayed/neutered, call our office at 204-914-3287! We have openings at private clinics for small/medium dogs on Dec 27 and Dec 28. We have also started booking for January. So give us a call to see if you qualify and to get a guaranteed spot.

City of Winnipeg dog owners in need!

We are holding a walk in $45 dog neuter event on Friday, December 29 at our outreach office located at 412A Dufferin Ave with mobile vet Bark and Meow visiting. That’s right, no appointment will be required for this date if you’re in need of getting your male dog neutered!

But please read the details below to ensure you follow all instructions so we can help your dog on this date!

Where- 412A Dufferin Ave, the southwest corner of Dufferin and Salter, come to the office door on the corner

When- Friday, December 29. Drop off will be between 9am and 10am that day. Pick up will be in the afternoon. When you first arrive, and if you have the option, please leave your dog in your vehicle or outside with a family member at first to register in our office.

Who- this event is for City of Winnipeg residents in need only. Our grant funding is specifically for low income folks, those on Social Assistance, long term disability or currently unemployed and receiving Employment Insurance, families and individuals facing crisis or difficulties and seniors/elders in need. Dogs must be male and between 6 months and 6 years of age and under 90lbs.

What do you need to bring- Cost is just $45, please bring cash.

In order to qualify for this event, please bring your proof of address, some form of proof of income (tax return, paystub, budget letter, any other kind of documentation of that nature) (please note- if you live in Mb Housing, proof of address alone will qualify you) and any vaccination records you may have for your dog. If you cannot print any documents, we can read them off your phone.

Dogs are not required to be up to date on their vaccines for this event, we will vaccinate your dog at the time of their surgery if they are overdue!

Dogs must be healthy for surgery, with no recent history of vomiting or diarrhea or cough/cold like symptoms.

All dogs must arrive wearing a secure collar and/or harness and leash.

*Please take away your dog’s food at 8pm the night before surgery, water is fine to leave out.*

Please be aware, space will be limited for this event so if we cannot accommodate you that day, we will get you booked in at an event in the near future.

After nine years representing Invisible Fence Brand, Dennis and I have decided to move into full retirement and have sold the business effective Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The new owner, Kevin Scanlon, along with his son, is very familiar with the product line up and is committed to continue to build the business and to provide excellent service and support to existing and new clients.

We have completely enjoyed our tenure with Invisible Fence Brand – we will miss meeting all the awesome clients and of course, their pets. Working with the pets has always been a highlight for us.

Winnipeg pet owners in need! Our December schedule for low cost dog/cat spay and neuter is now available for booking!

Cost for cats is just $20, this includes their spay/neuter, identification tattoo, city license, vaccinations and deworming.

Cost for dogs is just $45, this includes their spay/neuter, identification tattoo and city license. Vaccines can be given for an extra $25 (although if you call today, you’d still fall under November’s free vaccine at the time of spay/neuter promotion.)

Cats must be at least 4 months of age. Dogs must be between 6 months and 6 years old. We do have some size restrictions depending on our resources when you call.

Funding for this program is provided by City of Winnipeg pet licensing funds.

This farm has 3 big guardians on our GPS system and when I’m there I get lots of purrs from this crew. I’m always greeted so warmly. It may be because of the liver treats but who knows.
