Hartley and Penny: The day after “the incident”.

Penny doesn’t seem to be holding a grudge, but my pint sized pup did get peed on all over from this exuberant boy buddy.

The incident occurred out front while Penny was pottying- Hart couldn’t wait his turn to mark her scent and instead marked her- all over!

I know dogs get skunked but this was a whole new- WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Poor Pen gota very impromptu bath last night 😭😑

Hartley is here!

He’s a 9 year old mini Aussie who started his stay as a very itchy boy. Thanks to his pre-stay vet visit at Alpine Animal Hospital, some meds, and a medicated bath- he’s graduated out of the cone of shame and is a much happier little dude!

Shout out to Dr. Burton and her staff for being able to get Hartley in for his exam right before his owner’s trip. He’s a much more comfortable companion as a result!

Neko has been slow to warm up, but that means every milestone feels like Christmas! This is his second pet sit.
He went from hiding and evading to coming out for:
-“food only please and thank you”, to-
“ok, fine, I’ll smell your finger.” Then to-
“just one pet by the tail, please.”
Now we’ve moved on to:
“Yes, play is grand!”
“You can clean my eyes- thank youuuuy!”
And
“I’ll walk near you and up to you”.

Peanut and Pearl, whose owner is on their way to Africa!
Little Emily who’s easy to love and also boarding until the 5th.
A purrrrfect new nail trim kitty named Ro- and her mama’s gorgeous rock art.
Mister Olcifari- whose owners have found the perfect mix of meds to keep this adorable and headstrong buddy a little more chill for his nail trims.
…and my dearest purr machine, Happy the cat, on her favorite perch in the house: my lap.
