Since we seem to be "featured" on a BYB bashing page currently let's take a Quick Look at our program 🙂 Naturally these folks have never reached out to us personally but more seem to want to claim that mini/toy Aussies and Mini Americans are not in fact the same dogs 🤣. All of our dogs are now AKC Mini American as well as Mini or Toy Aussies except those that don't qualify because their parents are AKC Aussie (just smaller in size)

Wow what a day! All of our current and upcoming dogs have been dual registered AKC Mini American Shepherd before the stud books close on 11/15. Yes...they are the same thing- we just have always chose to stay with the roots of the Aussies becasue all of our dogs go back to standard AKC Australian Shepherd several generations back. Even some of our small 13 - 14" dogs have AKC Australian Shepherd papers but could no go MAS due to the requirements

We finished out our 2024 Show season at the ASDR show in Texarkana this weekend. Our precious Marley took Best In Show Veteran! What a way to end her show career. She finished all the new conformation titles and gets to go back to retirement.

Cadence- Black tri girl that gives sweet kisses. She is the most mellow and is most toy driven.
Cricket- Smallest in the litter and will be a smaller toy. She reminds me of Minnie (her 1/2 sister) She is the first one at the front of the pen, always in your lap, in the scoop when im cleaning the litterbox. She just wants to be velcro!
Cash- 2nd largest- very outgoing, would be a great kids and family dog. He is easy going, nothing bothers him and he is always ready for a new adventure. He will have beautiful copper and lots of copper in his undercoat.
Cassidy- TOY- She is the second smallest, a little more reserved and quiet. She wants to curl up in my lap and get love. She lets the rest of the litter be rambunctious and sits back and watches. she does love toys and will drag the biggest one around even if it is bigger than her!
Note- These are the last puppies to be ready to go home before the end of the year.

Best Little Good Things Come Back Around "Repo"- Formally Mermaid from Jagger x Savannah litter. This was my pick of the litter, I placed her with a family that later returned her. Today, in Lawrence, KS at her very first show- She took Best In Show Puppy! I'm very proud of this girl! It's always an honor for a bred by to be chosen for Best In Show! Thank you Judge Sharron Griffin for finding our girl in such a nice group of puppies!

Small toys anyone?!? Roxy's litter is looking to mature approx 11-13lbs with Skittles being the smallest at probably 10-11lbs. They are 9 weeks and ready!

Lolipop- super sweet cuddle purse puppy. She just wants to snuggle!

Reese- He is super smart and a quick learner. He gives the sweetest kisses!

Skittles- Small but mighty! She is the boss! Big personality in a small package..

Twizzlers- Super sweet girl that will follow you around everywhere and loves to cuddle. She is sweet and mellow of the group.

🌌 Meet Mars from Gracie and R***r! 🌌

We are thrilled to introduce this stellar puppy who is expected to mature at 12-14" tall and under 20 lbs! Mars comes from a fantastic lineage, with both parents being champions in conformation and having impressive titles in Rally Obedience. 🌟

Mars is easy to get along with. Great using the litterbox and really wants to please. He is good at problem solving and is also a quick learner! He is ready to meet his people now!

This litter is anticipated to have medium energy and medium drive, making them perfect for families and individuals seeking an active yet loving companion. Just like his name implies, this little guy is truly out of this world!

BLA Mini and Toy Australian Shepherds is a part of a family ranching business in North Texas. We raise quality miniature and toy Australian Shepherds to help with our livestock and show them in conformation as well. We offer select pups and dogs to outside families as working dogs, companions, and occasionally a show prospect. It has now ben 13 years since we began our journey with this amazing breed. In that time we have come to know the traits we love, the importance of great conformation for both the family pet and what it takes to produce international champion show dogs.
