Attention Jazz fans!
To mark the third adoptaversary of this beautiful girl we are introducing the Princess Jasmine We Must Be Their Voice design.
Jasmine's story might have been completely different if she didn't so many people to be her voice.
Her family was just in touch this week and are super excited to receive their Jasmine hoodies.

Holly trying to get the word out. Holly has been in foster with me since January and hasn't found her forever family yet. She is great with all dogs so far. Little, big, young and old. She's been good with my cats too. Holly's challenge is fearful barking at new people. She needs a family that is patient and understanding. She is a sweet, funny and intelligent girl. Holly is available for adoption through Critters 4 U Rescue

Please welcome beautiful May.
This little girl had a rough start in life, coming from a hoarding situation. Luckily she was given a new chance and has a wonderful family.
May is a little nervous of new people, but we took it slow and she made quick progress. Her mom has done a great job with her and she will continue to learn life has so many incredible things to offer.

One of my beautiful walking clients, Nova. This girl was always finding toys and trash in the bushes while we walked and she did not want to give up her treasures. I bought her this toy which goes on walks with us and taught her a release. She has really enjoyed the training and the toy 🐾 #dogtraining #positivereinforcement #positivetraining #husky #huskylove

Boundaries are so important. We have an unexpected house guest, Peluche. He is super tolerant and Holly will take advantage of it. Does that mean I let it go until he is pushed to correcting? I've worked hard with Holly to pull her out of excited states. Whenever I have a dog in the home, my natural habit is to use impulse control, like waiting at thresholds and breaking away from excitement. Holly is still puppy enough to need to work this through out the day so when it is needed she has it. Critters 4 U Rescue

Hey Jazz fans, check out this cute video of Jasmine watching TV. Enjoying Homeward Bound. Jasmine, the gray pitty, was adopted a few years back. She had spent over a year at the shelter and had a huge fan club. I was privileged to drive her to her new home in Oregon, where she lives the most amazing and well loved life. The family has stayed in contact regularly and this is the video they sent today. Sorry for the poor quality. #homewardbound #happyendings

Kringle the stroller king. Totally digging the new wheels.

Proud of Holly's recall. What you can't see is the squirrel she just chased out of our yard cheekily sitting about 15 feet on the other side. There is also a baby bunny about 20 feet to her right. It's always an ongoing process but I strive to get a response from her with soft, gentle cues. Is she always this quick to respond? No, but it happens more frequently than not now. Now I will try to catch her in pursuit of our backyard visitors to up the level of challenge for her.

Kringle's new wheels. This Little Old Man has declined quickly, his vision and mobility has become bad enough to make even the short walks he really enjoyed challenging. This is his first outing and he seems to dig it. The Babysitter

My experience with dogs is all hands on working within the County Animal shelter system and with private clients.. Through 3 years of volunteering I was able to shadow a certified animal behaviorist/ dog trainer. I was then hired by the shelter to work as a kennel attendant where I had the opportunity to work with a certified behaviorist/dog trainer. I assisted with dogs that had behavioral issues that were not optimal for adoptability. I learned to create behavior plans to assist dogs to eliminate their unwanted behaviors and replace them with more desirable ones. On my own I read extensively on working with dogs in a positive manner to assist them learning alternate behaviors. After 3 years as a kennel attendant, I became an animal control officer and worked with animals in our community on an entirely different level. However my passion was working with behaviorally challenged dogs, so I left my position with the county to pursue that passion. I have returned to the county shelter to continue as a sub contractor through outside animal agencies creating enrichment and behavior plans as I further my knowledge in working with these amazing companions we call dogs.
