Well, you might have heard the rumors so I am excited to announce some big changes coming up for Itty Bitty Farms.
We are finally realizing our dream of becoming a 100% locally sourced store. We have been planning this transition since we opened our doors in 2019 and now are finally making the leap to carrying only local items. With the loss of all of our conventional grocery items, we understand that we may not be keeping our current main customer base...SO, we are going to move away from regular business hours for the forseeable future. We are looking forward to seeing all our our dear friends and customers on a call-ahead basis moving forward. We hope that this transition will also allow us more time to focus on what has always been the heart and soul of our opperation: the Itty Bitty Farm

We added canning jars to our online store for anyone who wants to add jars to their fruit pick-up order. Follow the link and checkout online and I will have the jars ready for you when you get your fruit order or you can get them from us anytime.

Blaine County 4H Auction Saturday Aug.10th

This is last minute but I hope that this email will make a difference for some hard-working kids tomorrow! The Blaine County 4 H animal auction is happening Saturday Aug. 10th at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Carey.

There are so many kids from all over Blaine County who have been working hard to take good care of their animals this summer, so that we all can have access to high quality, ethically raised meat.

Come to the auction Saturday at 8:30 and help ensure that these kids can reap the benefits of their grit and dedication, while also putting some of the best meat products that Blaine County has to offer on your plate.

Auction buyers are given the option to send the animal straight to a facility, to be processed to your specifications and picked up within weeks, as expertly packed and frozen meat. There is no hassle at all in this kind of animal sale. Buyers also have the option to take the animal directly or donate it back to the child.

Does a whole animal seem to much for you? Find a couple of friends who would want to join you in eating delicioius local meat all year and split the purchase with them.

Available aimals to purchase will include beef, swine, lamb, chicken, and goat.

UPDATE!

THE ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED. WE HAVE REMOVED THE FRUIT ITEMS FROM THE WEBSITE.

We are now taking fruit box pre-orders! There are peaches, pears, apples, nectarines, and plums. All ordering can be done through our website. https://ittybittyfarms.square.site Orders need to be in by AUG 15th. Delivery is expected around the fisrt week in September. All orders need to be picked up at ITTY BITTY FARMS in Carey.

Plant Sale at the Hailey Grange

Sourdough Success at Itty Bitty

We also wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated in our first ever sourdough class. It was a huge success!

We will hopefully host another class in the future. If you want to be put onto a waiting list for any ucoming classes, just let me know.

Salmon, Halibut, and Lamb (oh my!)

We have been lucky enough to get some amazing new products into the store. The Wilsons, who are just recently off to Alaska again to restock, have dropped off the most beautiful wild caught salmon and haibut for our colection of freezer meats which also includes lamb products from or friends at Lava Lake and our own pork sausage.

Another exciting addition has been the health and beauty products by Dolce Cabana made by Carey local Audra Sma. Our whole family uses her concoctions and loves every one of them. Highly recommend. Dolce Cabana will be at the Wood River Farmers Markets this summer which is starting in ...16 days. We are very excited. Hope to see everyone there!

Spring time on the Farm!

Our two oldest daughters Kerrigan and Abigail have started their 4H projects for this year and would like to introduce Disco, and Gandalf the Pig. These two have their work cut out for them as raising pigs is no small task but this being their 3rd year in 4H, they finally have their feet under them. If you are interested in participating in the this year's Blaine County 4H auction, let me know and the girls will send you an invitation. The event is always fun and there is a great buyer's luncheon that the kids help put on. Hope to see some of you there!

For those of you who haven't heard, we have some other cute little additions to the farm! These baby goats are looking for new homes and would love to be part of your family! Let us know if you are interested in taking one of these guys home!

Learning to cook is easy when you have the right ingredients! Kerrigan made herself a breakfast sandwich on sourdough tonight which is probably my favorite way to use our farm eggs and homemade bread. yum!

We had a super busy day yesterday but it was worth it to get all the rows preped and ready for spring! broadforking is a great way to losen and aerate soil without disrupting too much of the soil's delicate microbial balance... if you were wondering. 😋
