Meet Moxie, he is a sweet Bernedoodle puppy! He’s only 3 months old and he’s mastering the basics!
Moxie is off to a great start, his owner is doing great work with him!

He is a very sweet pup and he learns quickly too! No matter what we worked on, he responded perfectly! He’s a good Boy!

Meet Xena, she is a sweet Pug 1 -1.5 …folks that have Pugs know how fun they can be!

She’s been in her new home for 3 months now and she has a great pack now ! She lives with 2 humans and 2 cats and 1 other wonderful fawn Pug named Eli. Eli is 12 years old and he’s helping teach Xena the ropes.

Whenever a new dog is introduced into a pack, it takes time to balance things out. This family has done a great job! (They are great pack leaders) Xena has progress very well.
The dogs love the training and want to please, so that always helps!

I’m a pug guy myself, so I have a soft spot for them.

As many of you know some rescue dogs can be fearful. Actually any dog can become fearful… It’s important not to reward fearful behavior.

Using play in training is a great method to help fearful dogs learn. BTW They love their forever home…

Start young and don’t avoid triggers… dogs never get over unwanted behavior by avoiding it. That method doesn’t work.

Koda is only 6 months old, she’s a smart & sweet Rottweiler.

She doesn’t like getting into the car. Many dogs get stressed when they get into cars.

Lots of reasons for that, mainly they may feel carsick or just nervous about being in a moving vehicle. Koda mainly pants and salivates when she’s in the car.
The other issue is she won’t get in unless she’s Lifted in. Today we had some breakthroughs. She actually got in and out three times on her own.
Well, OK not on her own but with lots of treats. Today we took her for a car ride to Agua Caliente Park. She had lots of fun.

Koda’s peeps are great with her and she should get over this soon with practice …

she’ll also be about 100 lbs soon… her dam is 100 pounds and the sire is 120 pounds…so she’ll be a big girl.

Although they are sold as dog chews deer, elk, and moose antlers aren't safe for dogs. They can break teeth and damage a dog's GI tract.

Baci spotted this Owl.

First, don’t worry our dogs are never outside unattended, so they are always safe.

This Owl is The Great Horned Owl.
They weigh between 3 1/2 to 5 pounds fully grown. Small dog owners do need to pay attention. They hunt at night for rabbits and mice, rats. This guy was clearly scared we were watching it. So we let it be and as soon as the sun set, off he went to hunt.

This color isn’t common at all and it fits him perfectly.
Junior is three years old now and extremely smart. We had three or four visit together and he did really well.
BTW He was smart before I met him lol. I also enjoyed working with Juniors humans also. Thanks guys !

They are both cocker spaniels. And they love to dig into the brush and track birds, lizard…anything. They are such fun dogs!

She’s a smart dog, fun and playful. She learning how to come when called, even with distractions.
She’s also doing great with sit, stay and heel.

Athena live with two other dogs…one is this Bernese Mountain Dog, she’s 7 years old…
Most of the time when you have an older dog with a younger dog, it’s very common that the younger dog will annoy the older dog with constant play.
So it’s a good idea to give the older dogs plenty of opportunity to have alone time. The goal is to have a balanced pack with no conflicts.

After training Lucy wanted to take a swim! She loves to dive in!

Run Baci, Run… I thought maybe I'd just run across Greenbow County. (Forrest Gump) Can you rely on your dogs recall? Start with small distractions first and work your way up the distraction ladder. Always make it fun !

Neely is a standard poodle that I work with. Special appearance by Baci & Lucci - they are lizard watching.

Have you heard of the Wobble Wag Giggle Ball? Well, neither did Baci ! You have to see her reaction to the noises the ball makes. Keep in mind Baci can be a shy / timid pup at times…so the reason we seek out toys like this is to help her build confidence. Baci loves getting the newspaper! She waits for me to open the door and give her the word.. “Get The Paper” and off she goes. Every now and then, she may see something that interests her. As many of you know, we have owls in our yard every day and night. Scary when you have a 8-9 lb puppy. BTW The last video I posted is deleted, I had an issue and it stopped playing. I’ll try to repost later. Check out the owl n Baci
