We love sharing Happy Tails about animals who were adopted and are now living their best life…But for some animals, their happily ever after looks a little different.

One of our volunteers has been attempting to trap a feral cat named Pizza alllll year! She finally succeeded in catching the cat by using her newborn babies to lure their momma into a trap. Our volunteer then fostered the little family together until the kittens were weaned…And then we spayed Pizza at our last free clinic. 🍕

Pizza is likely about 4 yrs. old, and in her lifetime, she has had at least 7-8 known litters. Likely she’s had more! Many kittens didn’t survive, some did, and she is the matriarch of her colony.

Since Pizza was released back into her colony, her caretaker has sent us some pictures. For the first time in Pizza’s life, she isn’t mating or pregnant or caring for kittens…She’s just being a cat! Pizza never had that privilege before. We are thrilled she is finally living her fabulously feral life in peace!

The word on the street is that Julian will be hanging out at our PetSmart Cat Adoption Center soon!
Thanks for fostering Julian and his siblings, Raising Mercury...And we hope they all find homes sooooon!

P.S. We don’t think they’re stinky!

Julian didn't care that Mercury was growling at him, he just stayed put and snuggled in. Mercury is just pleased that Julian is going to hang out at PetSmart for a while, so he can nap without stinky kittens crowding him.
