Question: Anyone Do the Autism Conference August 5-8, 2024 at the PaTTAN Central Conference Center, Harrisburg before? Austin and I will be doing it this year to sell our treats and we have never been to this one before. We absolutely love PaTTAN and have been to the one in State College but was wondering if this one is like that one? Also just curious if anyone else we know is going would be nice to see some of our friends (furry or human).

So today has been a very rough day. Meadow decided to eat some fried chicken, a bird out in the yard, and then a big stick. Needless to say this did not bode well for her and we ended up at the emergency Vet. Good news she will be fine no blockages or punctures however she will be staying over night since her throat through her stomach is all messed up and she will be on lots of meds. This is Damien's dog and she always has been weird she loves to eat rocks and other things but she is taking it to the extreme now. Thank god she is beautiful and such a great dog for Austin because she is his cuddle buddy.

My Crazy Life

So many know that both my kids fall under the Autism Spectrum but I truly believe its only noticeable on Austin because Samantha hides it well until you get to know her. That being said both my kids are absolutely amazing and teach me something everyday. Our life is very insane most days. I am sick and have a terminal disease but again you cant tell unless its chemo week that is the only week I truly slow down.

Austin and Samantha help me so much with everything and without their help and my husband Damien we wouldn't be able to do all we do. We do sell homemade dog and cat treats and both my kids help me with it everything from bagging, to counting (that is Austins favorite part), to setting up for craft shows, and of course selling. Both my kids are amazing at this. Probably because they know where the money goes. It goes to them. Sometimes it pays for dance class, sometimes it pays for speech, sometimes it pays for cloths (because these kids never stop growing). We are so thankful for everyone who buys from us because it helps. Every little bit helps.

They are always coming up with new things to try for example the Big Foot Cookies are Austins idea because come on who doesn't love Big Foot. Samantha came up with the braided dog toys because dogs love to chew things and after the dog ate her dance shoes she found other things for them to chew on. We also pet sit in our home, and do home visits to let dogs go potty, my kids love this because it gets them around more dogs and they can play with them for a little bit and it earns them more. I am trying to teach them responsibility and how to save for things they need. Austin is 16 and we have not been able to find a job fit for him yet but doing all this works for him and makes him happy so its a huge win in this house.

Who knows what the future holds and how long we will do this. Maybe it will be years maybe not but I do know that as long as my kids continue to work together they will do amazing things and I like that we are able to work as a family doing something. So big thank you to everyone who checks us out and try’s our cookies we do make everything here and my kids appreciate it.
